NewsBreaking the Chains
The Freemasons
Victoria Taskforce
is calling for volunteers
to help at the Annual Variety
Club Christmas Party, Melbourne
Exhibition Centre on set-up day
Wednesday 10 December from
9:00am - 2:00pm, and on Party Day
Thursday 11 December from
7:30am - 3.00pm.
Freemasons Victoria has been
helping put smiles on childrens faces
for many years now, and this year,
our last year, one of our key roles will
again be to register all volunteers on
both days as well as the entertainers
on party day.
There are sit down jobs for those that
are not that mobile, and walking
jobs for those that can. This is a team
effort so every little bit helps.
If you want to see 5000 smiling faces
light up, please arrange a Working
with Children check. Forms are
available at Australia Post or online.
The Working with Children check
costs nothing for volunteers, just the
cost of a passport photo.
Please allow at least two weeks to
get your card.

Youngster Bro. Dean Munro has achieved an enormous amount of
success since graduating three years ago from university. At just 26 years
old, Dean has built a seven figure property portfolio, has a substantial
quantity of precious metals and a healthy investment in shares.
Dean attended Girton Grammar from 2002 to 2007. He now currently
works for the NSW Government as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, and it
has been a fast and exciting journey to get there.
During a Construction Management Degree, Dean was offered a
cadetship with a multi-national corporation where he worked for four
years.
Six months before actually graduating, Dean secured a Graduate
position within the firm and began writing a book about achieving
financial success during the university years – he was already off to a
great start with the firm paying his University fees on top of his salary,
while studying.
Dean’s book which has just been published, titled Breaking the Chains,
is based on true life experiences about how University students can get
rich, with Dean being an exemplar of the success story, graduating from
University with a million dollar property portfolio.
Along the way, Dean
collected scholarships
and prizes including
a Commonwealth
Accommodation
Scholarship (2008), George
Alexander Foundation
Award (2010) and
Freemasons Victoria Post-
Secondary Award (2008).
Dean was also promoted
prematurely out of the
Graduate program to
become accredited in his
profession then promptly
offered a job at North
Projects, originally in its
Melbourne office then later
in its Sydney office.
Dean is excited about
the future success of his
book which can be found
at www.breakingthechains.com, and hopes that the knowledge and
wisdom he has shared in his book helps students worldwide to achieve
financial success during their educational journey.
