Achievements and Interests:
I have a strong interest in many outdoor sporting activities, particularly tag rugby, swimming and cycling, as well as
hiking. I have also started my hand at surfing.
I am involved in the Tag Rugby League, which will be commencing again in the middle of October. I also played
Tag Rugby League in Ireland before I left for Australia in 2010.
During my period in university, I was heavily involved in the Kayak club. As a group, we sometimes travelled to
different parts of Ireland so to kayak.
Some of my achievements over the years are as follows:
2011: Achieved a certificate in Recordkeeping Awareness Training from the Department of Water
2009: Self-taught in Web Design –languages being PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery
2009: Final year in university – worked on an assignment in my spare time, in which I calculated the
angle that it would be best to place a solar panel so to achieve maximum energy from the sun
2003: Fifth year in second-level education – one of 12 students selected to mentor first year students
2001 & 2000: Won two separate scholarships to the Gaelic College, so to advance my learning
