PROFILE
I am a confident, outgoing person with good inter-personal and communication skills. I
am able to work independently or as part of a team and try to network as much as
possible. I am always looking to work towards my personal development, working
on new challenges and learning new skills so that I can provide a high level of
service in jobs that I do.
I have 10 years’ experience developing Lotus Notes client and web applications with
Lotus Domino Designer (versions 5 – 9.0), using LotusScript, @formula, HTML,
JavaScript, JAVA, AJAX, CSS, XPages, bootstrap and have IBM Certified
Associate Developer certification. I also have experience in the customization and
support of Lotus Quickr and the upgrading of Domino servers, with good knowledge
of Domino Administrator.
CURRENT EMPLOYMENT – Allied Healthcare (August 2015 – Present)
Systems Consultant (Team Lead)
The majority of notes applications are client based, or web enabled using traditional
domino web techniques with 3 applications built using xpages. Since joining, I have built
2 brand new applications using xpages with bootstrap, being part of the whole project
lifecycle whilst supporting/enhancing the current application suite.
After 4 months, I was promoted to team lead/manager, looking after 3 notes developers
and a separate team of 2 drupal developers who look after the external systems.
The role has included attending management courses, allowing me to improve my
management skills, attending board meetings, submission of board reports and
management/allocation of workload and task assignments.

Application Developer – IT Team
The IT team consists of only two developers supporting the office’s based in the UK,
Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong and France.
All applications are client based, and my role was to understand the linking, processes,
data and usability of these applications and web enable them using XPages technology.
To date, two of applications have been redeveloped to work on both web and mobile
devices, incorporating bootstrap coding standards.
Recently the company has decided to put XPage development on hold and start
developing using a RAD solution of which I have been involved in for the last 2 months,
learning some basic SQL skills.
PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT – Ricoh Europe PLC (August 2010 –January 2015)
Lotus Domino Developer – Group IT
The Lotus Notes Development team consists of three developers based in the UK, and
one in the Netherlands. The team develops and supports all Lotus Notes applications for
the various operation companies across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) aswell as
some key applications in Japan.
All databases are client based, however the last 2 years have seen us moving towards
XPages technology, and all applications are now developed using XPages technology.
Key applications I have been involved in include a database to request support for new
contracts, a database that generate statistical reports for field data collected by engineers,
the Ricoh Europe Intranet, Social Portal, Product Loan Scheme, many HR based
applications to manage holidays, starter/leaver requests, an organisation database which
is used to populate user details in all of our other databases, and many more. My first
XPage application was a hotel booking system, allowing employees to submit request’s
for stay, which follows the approval workflow and generates reports for the
administrators to send to our booking partners.
Other than supporting existing applications I also develop new applications from scratch,
being part of the full development cycle. This includes both client and XPages

as all the applications were developed with Lotus Domino, which I had never used
before.
Since joining in 2004 I have developed new applications, aswell as making enhancements
to current applications, both Notes Client and web based.
I am also the first line of support for the team, which has allowed me to improve my
problem solving and customer interaction.
During my time on the team, apart from the main projects of developing applications, I
have also learnt many more skills which have allowed me to also provide the following
solutions:
The creation of animated gifs/adverts for the corporate intranet
The creation of graphics for corporate intranet
Style Sheet editing
Image mapping
Website statistic capturing
When I joined the team, the company had just purchased an application called
Quickplace, and I was tasked with learning the ins and outs of this product. I am now the
main contact for Quickplace within Steria, and was part of a two large projects to migrate
and upgrade our quickplaces to a new server and new application version. I have also
held training to people internal and external, the biggest external customer being
Northern Rock.
Due to the amount of applications we have developed, I have been able to learn a lot
through being the first line of support for the team. This has allowed me to go in and see
how previous applications have been developed, so that I am always learning, and
improving my problem solving skills.

- Registering Lotus Notes users onto London probation servers, and setting up their

- Migrating users mailboxes to new servers and setting up mailbox options and settings -
also upgraded from 4.6 to R5
*** All Lotus Notes tasks performed using Lotus Domino Administrator.
Due to the nature of the project, there were a lot of instances where we had to speak to
the customer. Because of this, I have gained extra skills/experience talking to customers,
and also resolving help desk calls via the internal helpdesk software. I also learnt a lot of
new tasks, and familiarized myself with well used programs and software.
Laptop Re-Deploy – National Probation Service - 1 Month
Whilst on the STEPS project, there was a period or 4 weeks, were there was minimal
work, and myself and a colleague were asked if we could manage a mini project where
we had to make sure that 120 laptops were re-imaged using Rapid Deploy, cleaned, had
no discrepancies, tested, and then send them out to various sites in London using couriers
when requested. We also needed to converse with the customer to confirm delivery time
and date. This lasted 4 weeks, and was a success, which shows the ability to manage
myself, including time management, and planning for the project. We were critised for
spending too long planning, but then praised at project close, as due to the good planning,
we could perform the tasks a lot quicker, and were very organized, able to give accurate
facts and figures when requested, and then able to pass the task on leaving it in an easily
manageable state, as towards the end of this mini project, the main STEPS project took
priority!
Purchasing Department – 2 Months
I had to find customer/supplier details from an Oracle database, and ring them to confirm
contact details, and to update out of date details. This helped me gain experience in
regards to customer interaction and good telephone manner and also opened the start of
my internal networking with other employees.
PERSONAL
Outside of the workplace I am a keen footballer. I play in an 11-a-side league in
Islington, and used to be the manager of a Sunday league team when I was living in
Hemel Hempstead. I also enjoy all sports that involve a racquet! Outside of sport I can be
found catching up with friends for either a few drinks or a coffee.
