Instructed Reading/Language Arts to middle school students in a rigorous charter program in Prince
George’s County. Created and altered multiple English curriculums based on Common Core standards for the 6th,
7th and 8th grade level, including advanced and remedial courses. Implemented differentiated instruction based
upon a variety of student data assessments. Provided instruction in an inclusion classroom without the support of
a co-teacher. Established a strong and continuous relationship with students and parents through consistent
communication via a variety of sources including Edmodo. Instituted a safe and disciplined classroom
environment where students are held to high standards and encouraged to be exceptional both socially and

Provided English language assistance as an Alternative Language Teacher (ALT) at the middle school
level. General responsibilities included: development and administration of class assignments, evaluation of
student work, verification of student progress through in-class supervision, generation of cross-language and
cultural dialogue, and instruction of English phonics, grammar, spelling, and writing. When necessary, taught
