2. System of a Down or SOAD is an Armenian-American heavy metal band
from Glendale California, formed in 1994. The band currently consists of Serj
Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (vocals, guitar), Shavo
Odadjian (bass, backing vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).
3. Serj Tankian is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer-songwriter,
composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, and political
activist with Armenian descent. He is best known as the lead vocalist,
songwriter, keyboardist, and occasional live rhythm guitarist of the
metal band System of a Down, formed in 1994 by four Armenian-
American friends.
4. Daron Malakian is an Armenian–American singer-songwriter, multi-
instrumentalist, and record producer. He is best known as the guitarist,
songwriter and second vocalist of the rock band System of a Down. Like the rest
of the Hollywood-based band System of a Down, he is of Armenian ancestry,
but he is the only member to have been born in the United States.
5. Shavo Odadjian is an Armenian American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist,
music video director/editor, music producer, and artist/painter. He is best
known as the bassist, backing vocalist and occasional songwriter of the
Grammy Award-winning metal band System of a Down.
6. John Dolmayan is a Lebanese-born Armenian–American songwriter
and drummer. He is best known as the drummer of System of a
Down. His energetic live performances with System Of A Down over
the years, have garnered him critical acclaim.
