implemented its augmented reality kiosk solution in the DLF Mall, Noida, India
to provide a different,exciting shopping experience and to bring this
technology to mainstreamretailing!
The virtual store comprises of a virtual mirror which uses AR technology, by
which a person can make their apparel choices. Augmented reality is a live,
direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environmentwhoseelements
are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video
and graphics. The mirror will superimposethe design of the garmenton a
buyer to make better choice rather trying out in a trial room. Once a person
steps in frontof the screen the application captures the body’s fit and
superimposes theselected outfit. The selected outfits can be added to the
shopping cart and the customer can proceed for billing.
This new technology blurs the line between whatis real and what is computer-
