To whom it may concern:
I write to recommend Cindy Kindl for employment. I have had the pleasure of working with
Cindy over the last two years. She is highly talented, motivated, hardworking and generous. She has an
amazing “can do” spirit, and never waits to be asked to do something. She sees a need and jumps right
in to help.
Her talents are far too many to name in this short letter, so I will do my best to outline her greatest
strengths.
1. Musical talent: Cindy is an accomplished professional musician. Her vocal talents are among the
finest. Her voice is powerful, strong, and beautiful. Cindy’s vocal talents cause others to be moved,
both in liturgy, toward worship of God, and in secular music, toward enjoyment and delight. She is also
an amazingly talented pianist and organist, with a strong command of both instruments.
2. Choir leadership: Cindy’s talents go far beyond her own personal achievements. She is quite capable
in leading a choir, both in terms of the outcome of their music being professional performance quality,
and in her ability to train her choir members in vocal talent and achievement.
3. Teaching: Cindy’s choir members at St. Joseph have all shared with me that Cindy was responsible for
their knowledge of music and vocal skill. She had worked with them collectively and individually to train
and teach them about music and vocal skill.
4. Communications: Cindy is an extraordinary communicator. She is effective in clearly, professionally
and honestly stating what needs to be said. She is utterly comfortable speaking and performing in front
of others, and has a warmth, kindness and welcoming quality in the way she presents a message. She is
thoughtful in her messaging and accomplished in delivery of her message in a way that is impactful for
her audience.
5. Professionalism: Cindy is a consummate professional. She works diligently to ensure timely outcomes
and strong results. She never wastes time and she does not count hours. She works until the job is done
and done with exceptional quality. Not only does Cindy work this way for her own job responsibilities,
but is quick to always lend a hand to get things done for the organization. She never has to be asked to
help.
6. Innovator: Throughout our time working together, I was impressed with how much at our church was
the result of Cindy’s innovation. She always looked for ways to enhance our community at St. Joseph’s
church. In 1995, she was one of the founding members of our annual Country Fair committee. She

chaired the committee 3 times (on her own time) and helped to grow the fair to be the largest and most
successful fundraiser and outreach events for our parish. She founded a successful children’s choir, a
resurrection choir (for funeral Masses) and developed and lead many successful pageants and concerts
for our parish.
7. Collaborator: Outside of our Parish Cindy worked to organize the Central Maryland Music Ministers
into a collaborative group that meets quarterly and she worked closely with the Baltimore Chapter of
the National Pastoral Musicians. She has sung with the Archdiocesan Choir on numerous occasions and
along with her husband Don, a longtime member of the Music Ministry, she sang in the Papal Choir for
St. Pope John Paul II’s visit to Baltimore in 1995.
8. Ministry leadership: Cindy was instrumental in not only leading the choirs, but in forming the Music
Ministry into a faith sharing community, in which each member supports the others in times of sickness
and sorrow as well as celebrate with each other in times of joy. It was rare that any parishioner
experienced a need when Cindy was not at the helm of organizing support for that individual. She
would do everything from planning meal trains to helping transport individuals in need to doctors’
appointments, hospitals, treatment centers or helping with the needs of a parishioner’s family,
including taking children to school, appointments, practices, or anything else that was needed. She gave
continually of her time and talents with a heart of great compassion.
9. Organization: In Cindy's many years at St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor, she not only
Offered her talents and gifts in the artistic realm, but she has an uncanny ability to be well organized
and efficient. Frequently, with artists, the skill set of the “left brain” is not as keenly developed. Not so
in Cindy’s cast. She is equally talented in organization and analytical process. She never missed a
deadline, was successful in keeping the choir organized, planning and ensuring outcomes.
10. Strength of Character: Cindy is a deeply honest individual, and is a wonderful employee
and friend. She is humble, caring, has great integrity and is kind. She is a team player who works closely
with others on staff to collaborate and achieve results.
I am confident that Cindy will make an exceptional addition to any organization, and I highly
recommend her for employment.
I would be happy to discuss her qualifications upon request. Please feel free to contact me directly:
