They are the biggest retailer of
coffee goods and especially
known for their Frappuccino's.
4. DUNKIN DONUTS
Dunkin' Donuts, often abbreviated as DD and
officially known as simply Dunkin', is an American
multinational coffeehouse and donut company. It
was founded by William Rosenberg in 1950.
They have over 11,300 Stores World Wide and
are known for the big variety of baked items they
have. Such as their 50+ Donut variety they have
at their stores.

Instagram & Twitter
Both coffee companies are very competitive with each other and have a big following
and presence on their social medias.

Starbucks has 18.4 million
followers on Instagram.
Their Twitter has 11.2 Million
followers.
They frequently tweet about once
per day and also reply to many
customers in a day which shows
they are very connected with the
costumers.
They have an average of 3,242
interaction per twitter post.
Dunkin Donuts
Dunkin has 1.7 Million followers on
Instagram
Dunkin Donuts has about 1.2million
followers which is almost about
1/10th of Starbucks following on both
social media platforms.
They also have a very active twitter
account with about 3-4 post made a
day and also respond very frequently
to their customers on social media.
They have an average of 797
interactions per twitter post. About
¼ of the amount Starbucks does.
7. Starbucks Tweets : Starbucks typical receives more engagement with
their customers on twitter when they do polls or when they use more interactive tweets
than let say basic one sentence tweets. But also compared to Dunkin they're responses to
tweets are little more genuine and longer than Dunkins responses.
9. • STARBUCKS VS DUNKIN DONUTS
During my Social Media audit the main social channel I wanted to go over was twitter because I believe it is
the most interactive and growing space for companies to connect with customers quickly and effectively.
When I first start of comparing, I saw Starbucks was already the leader in their industry on all social media
platforms. You can see this through their following which nearly is 10x bigger than their 2nd closest competitor
of DUNKIN.
A Few things I think that have given them the advantage online is that they focus on more quality over
quantity content. Which they would say about their own coffee as well. Every tweet they have is normally
more thought out and meaningful than the average Dunkin post which typically is just a picture with a quick
caption and just floods their feed not so great quality content ( more focused on quantity) .
Starbucks instead has variety of different post , from polls, contest and hashtags they start to keep their
audience interactive through the day.
Their responses to customers I think is also much better than Dunkins because they have typically more
detailed Reponses than just quick one-off conversation with their customers.
In conclusion I think Starbucks has a big opportunity to keep building good reputation and customer repour if
they keep up their social media with the quality content they already are tweeting. And adapting to any other
tools twitter allows them use to interact (polls,videos,Hashtags)
