My name is Aaron Boucher and I am the Health and Physical Education teacher at
Cornwall Consolidated School. During the 2014-2015 school year I have had the
privilege of working with Dan Smith. He has worked at the school as Head Coach for
our Boys’ soccer and basketball teams, long term substitute for Science and building
substitute teacher for Kindergarten through grade 8. He has also substituted for our
"specials" teachers and has spent time in music, art, physical education and technology
classes.
While Dan has excelled in adapting to teaching in various disciplines, his true passion is
for Physical Education. His knowledge of pedagogy, child development and exercise
physiology are apparent and he uses these during planning and instruction of physical
education classes. He made connections with students right from the start, and this has
had a positive effect on his instruction and class management.
Dan is an energetic and enthusiastic educator. He learns fast and is always looking for
ways to help and learn more through his teaching. It is without reservation that I
recommend Dan for a Physical Education position at your school. He will be an asset to
any school and any system that has the good fortune of hiring him. Please do not
