Section 6. Comments
What was the most positive aspect of the way in which this instructor taught this
course?
Comment
Always willing to answer and help.
The most positive aspect of the way this instructor taught the course was the way he explained the material. He made it
easy to understand and comprehend.
He is very knowledgable about the subject and would walk through every difficult examples with us to ensure that we
understand how the topic we are working on is applied.
He taught very patiently
Most positive aspect would have to be that the instructor went through a series of practice problems that would be
potential problems on upcoming exams.
You went over examples thoroughly.
Going over the material learned in class
Clarified what we learned in lecture
He gave many helpful examples and went through them in a stepwise process
What can this instructor do to improve teaching effectiveness in the classroom?
Comment
Update HuskyCT with the grades way more often - I didn't realize I was doing so poorly because I didn't see my overall
grade.
the only thing the instructor needs to do to improve the teaching effectiveness in the classroom is to continue doing
what he has been doing
Do less walkthroughs of examples. Have the students go up to the board and try it out themselves instead of doing it for
them, that way you can see exactly where most students are having difficulties in case they are to shy or afraid to ask for
help. Try and get the students more involved by asking them more questions, that way it forces the students to either
ask for help or to practice the topic, also makes it easier on you so that you don't have to stay up and talk the entire hour.
Pay attention to time so quizzes aren't so rushed.
Go through more examples as opposed to concepts
Have problems worked out rather than doing them on the board for the first time
None
Please write any comments you have about the course or course materials.

  • 10. Section 6. Comments What was the most positive aspect of the way in which this instructor taught this course? Comment Always willing to answer and help. The most positive aspect of the way this instructor taught the course was the way he explained the material. He made it easy to understand and comprehend. He is very knowledgable about the subject and would walk through every difficult examples with us to ensure that we understand how the topic we are working on is applied. He taught very patiently Most positive aspect would have to be that the instructor went through a series of practice problems that would be potential problems on upcoming exams. You went over examples thoroughly. Going over the material learned in class Clarified what we learned in lecture He gave many helpful examples and went through them in a stepwise process What can this instructor do to improve teaching effectiveness in the classroom? Comment Update HuskyCT with the grades way more often - I didn't realize I was doing so poorly because I didn't see my overall grade. the only thing the instructor needs to do to improve the teaching effectiveness in the classroom is to continue doing what he has been doing Do less walkthroughs of examples. Have the students go up to the board and try it out themselves instead of doing it for them, that way you can see exactly where most students are having difficulties in case they are to shy or afraid to ask for help. Try and get the students more involved by asking them more questions, that way it forces the students to either ask for help or to practice the topic, also makes it easier on you so that you don't have to stay up and talk the entire hour. Pay attention to time so quizzes aren't so rushed. Go through more examples as opposed to concepts Have problems worked out rather than doing them on the board for the first time None Please write any comments you have about the course or course materials.
