UK CLINICAL APTITUDE TEST INFORMATION
All UKCAT subtest scores are expressed on a scale ranging from 300 to 900. Most people
taking this test will score between 500 and 700. In fact, the average score of the reference (or
comparison) group for each subtest is 600.
Verbal Reasoning
The Verbal Reasoning subtest assesses your ability to critically evaluate information that is
presented in a written form; i.e., it is one way to evaluate your logical-thinking skills.
Quantitative Reasoning
The Quantitative Reasoning subtest assesses your ability to critically evaluate information that
is presented in numerical form, and thus is another way to evaluate your logical-thinking skills.
Abstract Reasoning
The third UKCAT subtest that assesses your ability to think logically is the Abstract Reasoning
subtest, which assesses that ability in a non-verbal, non-quantitative way.
