3. MY IDEAS FOR MY COSTUME CHOICES
• Due to the plot for my movie which is based around a normal girl trying to survive
in space rather than someone used to the environment I needed my costume to
reflect this. For that reason despite the futuristic setting I didn’t want my costume
to be that different to the clothes people wear now, good examples of this can be seen
below:
4. SPECIFIC CHOICES FOR MY CHARACTER
• As my character is the same throughout my movie my costume choices
need to be accessible to a wide range of ages. I didn’t want the
costume for each stage of aging to be the same but they needed to be
similar to keep continuity.
5. OLDER CHARACTER COSTUME
For my two older versions of my main character I will be using a black hoodie, skinny
black jeans and a white t shirt. All will of course be without brands to still give the
effect of a futuristic movie. These while trendy somewhat in the modern day are not
distinguishable to any age. They are also easy to get for multiple ages. The shoes are
not important as they cannot be seen in the ship.
6. YOUNGER CHARACTER COSTUME
• In this costume I wanted to reflect the purity of my character for this reason I went
for a white theme, of a white jumper and black jeans again. Similar of course to my
older character but not identical, used as another way to highlight age.
