2. Metro Building & Architectural Services is a family owned and run
business that has been working in the construction industry for over 27
years. Established in September 1981 initially as a building services
contractor, mainly providing Mechanical and Electrical services to
the domestic field and larger building contractors. In June 1982 the
company diversified into Building Construction works, when the
renowned designer shop ‘Valentinos’ in Sloane Street, London W1 was
refurbished (contract value of £65,000). Since this opportunity Metro
has developed a team of professionals to service the industry and in
doing so have built a high degree of loyalty and commitment, which
ensures quality and ‘right first time’ pride in the job. We have been
involved as principal contractors in a number of projects in a verity of
procurements.
Our company currently operates from East London from where we
undertake works throughout Greater London and the Home Counties.
In early 1995 we re-structured and expanded our operations into three
specialist divisions – Construction, Architectural & Technical – allowing
the company to build on its successes, and to enable our plans for
dedicated and experienced players to focus on specific operations.

Whilst we manage and control the majority of building activities in-house,
we have the advantage of being able to draw on a number
of other businesses and services to provide and facilitate Metro in any
additional support that may be required (i.e Structural Engineer, Civil
Engineers etc.)
Metro takes great lengths to ensure a consistent high quality of
workmanship both at design and construction stages. We have
achieved recommendations through our works by appearing in
construction magazines such as Designers Journal in 1987, Financial
Times in 1988, South East Architectural Journal in 1991, Architecture
Today in 1993 and Building Review in 2000.
