2. WE FEEL
Our Project on:
“Say No to Plastic”
• Amirthi zoo, which is
maintained by Tamilnadu
Forest Department covering
10ha of forest area and
about 1.5km distance from
our school. The zoo attracts
lot of tourist and observed
that the area is polluted
mainly by Polythene waste,
thrown by tourist in & around
the zoo - Now we have
planned to change the
existing situation.

3. IMAGINE
• Plan to Acquire self knowledge about why “No to plastic”
• Plan to Mobilize of supporting resource from Forest
Department, Local NGO - Srinivasan Services Trust
(TVS), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) – Rural
development project & local villagers for implementation
of the purpose.
• Plan to clean the zoo in & around.
• Plan to create awareness & to provide knowledge about
hazards of plastic waste.
• Plan to suggest to increase the strength of existing
sweepers.
• Plan to suggest to keep more litter bins

4. IMPLEMENTATION
• Learned why “No to
plastic” with help of

(TVS – NGO) & VIT –
Rural development
project.

5. IMPLEMENTATION…….
• Conducted awareness
rally and spoke to tourist
about the cause of plastic
waste happening in the
zoo. (like plastic carry
bags, plastic water
bottles, plastic plates
etc.,)

6. IMPLEMENTATION…….
• Provided knowledge to
existing sweeper to clean
the waste in protective
manner.
• VIT – Rural development
project promise to give
litter bins.
