My fields of study at The George Washington University were concentrated in Environmental Studies (specifically
Environmental Science and Environmental Biology) and Biological Studies (particularly Molecular Biology, Marine
Biology, and Zoology).
GW Animal Advocates
- Raised awareness about animal cruelty in farming and fashion sectors
- Provided information and resources to help individuals pursue vegetarian and vegan lifestyles
- Informed members on how to make daily compassionate decisions by choosing cruelty-free nutrition, apparel,
and household products
GW Sustainable Ocean Alliance
- Educated fellow students on current issues facing the oceans'health and ways to help preserve it on both local
and global scales
- Facilitated community outreach efforts and organization collaborations to spread knowledge and promote
changes in community mindset
- Encouraged environmental interest through emphasizing oceanic natural services
- Cultivated partnerships across a variety of student and non-student organizations
Fossil Free GW
- Informed the campus and local community of the dangers and abuses fueled by global warming and
environmental losses
- Acknowledged major causes of climate change and assisted University students and faculty in taking daily steps
to reduce their carbon footprints
- Backed student movements and advocated for greater transparency in GW institutions
- Encouraged foot traffic, bicycling, public transportation,and carpooling as alternatives to driving on campus
Green GW
- Supported green initiatives proposed to University heads
- Created unity between GW institutions,students,and administration, professors,and personnel
- Reduced campus litter and waste through increased waste receptacles and sorted disposalof recycling, compost,
and trash
- Shared initiatives to reduce daily personal water and electricity usage
GW DDS (Disability Support Services) NoteTaker
- Recorded lecture notes in a variety of classes (biology, astronomy, archaeology, sociology,and history) for
students who received assistance from DSS
- Compiled exam review guides and study aids for students requiring DSS resources
GW Club Cross Country
- Participated in a member team of NIRCA (National Intercollegiate Running Club Association)
- Raced locally and nationally to continue a decade-long running career

- Connected with other students to maintain fluency following eight years of study
