2. Project summery
• The aim of the project “Alternative means of transportation” was to raise the
interest and encourage children to walk, cycle or use local transport to reduce
congestion and pollution around the school area. Raise awareness about
green means of transportation such as bikes, electric cars.
• Organised ‘walk to school’ or ‘cycle to school’ events and antipollution
campaign.
• Antipollution campaign has increased students and their family’s motivation
to use environmentally friendly means of transportation.
• Through the range of learning activities, students have increased and
strengthened their language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)
and 21st century skills.

• Organise antipollution campaign with their parents ‘walk to school’ or
‘cycle to school’ events. Children choose a way of travelling to school
which is healthier for themselves and the environment around them.
• Students complete and present the final products, how they worked, what
they learned. (posters, pp presentation, leaflets).
• Post their final work on school facebook.
