Description Thixotropy Effect

• The fluidity of a thermoplastic resin is proportional to temperature.
• The MFR increases with temperature.
• To obtain the same rheological properties at temperatures lower plasticizing, or using a
material more fluid, or it becomes more fluid (at constant temperature) the material in use
In the first case we can change the material,
the second one can leverage a physical
property known as Thixotropy:
"The Thixotropy is the ability of a fluid to
reduce its viscosity when subjected to
shear."
The PolyPlus used 2% in the different
polymers increases their Thixotropy.

The addition of 2% PolyPlus reduces the shear stress within the plasticizing screw.
This allows to process polymers at 30/40 ° C less standard temperature
without increasing the Pressure on plasticizing screw.
This allows to:
- Reduce the cycle time (follow reducing the cooling time)
- Reduce / eliminate the shrinkage at the same standard cycle time
- 40% cycle time reduction on Testing Injection Plastic Part Produced
