5. Site Preparation
At Contour we handle site preparation for projects that
range from large building pads to full-scale mining
operations. We cover all aspects of industrial and
commercial site preparation, from erosion control to
concrete flatwork and paving.
When you work with Contour, we completely handle
development from the beginning of the project to
closeout. Our broad resources and commitment to
efficiency mean we can mobilize quickly at the
lowest cost.
Grading and
Earthmoving
We move material quickly to
meet schedules. Our team clears
and grades each site to spec.
Soil
Stabilization
We use modern techniques to chemically
stabilize building pads, roadways, and
parking lots. We also perform chemical
drying and soil modification.
Erosion and
Sedimentation Control
With GSWCC Level 1A and CEPSCI
inspectors, we ensure that each project
exceeds standards for erosion and
sediment control.
Concrete, Asphalt,
and Curb Paving
Our paving services include concrete,
asphalt, and curb. Our efficient paving

6. Mining
Efficiently mining the resources that our communities
need to grow takes years of experience and a varied
fleet. We employ seasoned teams and application-
specific equipment according to what will best serve
your site’s conditions, schedule, and geology.
We take the time to evaluate each operation carefully to
create the most ideal solutions, from permitting to final
reclamation. Collectively, our team has worked in the
clay mining, metal mining, sand mining, and quarrying
industries.
OUR SERVICES
Overburden and Intraburden Removal
We are industry veterans and MSHA Part 48-B certified to work
in a variety of mining environments; including quarries, kaolin
mines, sandpits, and metal mines.
Contract Mining
When overhead is threatening your project,
Contour can establish a maximally efficient
system for each operation that keeps your
budget in check.
Mine Reclamation
From erosion control and topsoil replacement
to replanting, we optimize your site with the
least amount of movement to restore pre-
mining conditions.

7. Mass Excavation
We put in our due diligence to understand relevant
conditions and environmental factors in order to
create plans for large-scale mass excavation projects.
Our services include layout, excavation, backfill, and
compacting per specification.
We build each job utilizing the latest 3D grading
technology and an optimal fleet of equipment, and our
operators bring a strong level of expertise and
commitment to ensure that each project stays on
budget and ahead of schedule.
Fine Grading
For jobs requiring 500,000 CY to
2,000,000+ CY of excavation, we
have the gear, crews, and expertise
to execute.
Earthmoving
We move large amounts of material
quickly to prepare each site for the
next application.
Rock Excavation
Our team plans the drilling, blasting,
and excavation of rock in order to
prepare subgrade.
Greenfield Sites
We assess and design work excavation
for raw, undeveloped greenfield sites to
create a stable foundation for
future construction.

8. Utilities
We’re committed to the betterment and growth of each
community in the Southeast through the installation
and maintenance of utility systems. We bring decades
of experience to each job, and maintain high standards
of excellence.
Our utility work includes storm drain, sewer, and water
services. Our goal is to support the overall well-being
of the area by providing reliable utility services on each
project that we undertake.
Sanitary Sewer
Contour offers wastewater pipeline systems tailored
to the layout of your project, including gravity sewer
systems, force main sewers, and sanitary lift stations.
Domestic Water
We install ductile, PVC water mains, fire water loop
systems, meter vaults, and backflow preventors. We
also provide chlorination and hydrostatic testing.
Storm Drain
Our crews are well-versed in the installation of
storm drain and underground retention systems
using RCP, HDPE, and CPEP.

Anderson, SC
Project Walker
• Market: Industrial
• Client: Undisclosed
• Our team was tapped early in the budgetary process to help identify costs and potential savings. We mobilized a fleet of
over 25 machines and support equipment to tackle this 90-acre site. At peak activity, we moved 25,000 CY of material
per shift. In addition to a 1M square foot building pad, we built a 2,000-foot construction road and over 7 acres of
temporary laydown and office areas. Our crews and subcontractors handled all the sitework including mass excavation,
soil stabilization of the building pad and roadways, erosion control, stone base, asphalt paving, bridge over Jones Creek,
domestic water line, fire line, and sanitary sewer.

Kershaw, SC
Haile Gold Mine
• Market: Mining
• Client: Oceanagold
• Mined off and on for over 150 years, the Haile property will be one of the biggest
precious metal mines east of the Mississippi. As one of the first contractors
on this $380mil project, we were an integral player in the civil works for the
processing plant and the mine. We were contracted to perform all the sitework
and utilities for the process plant, and later contracted with Oceanagold directly
for additional work on site.
Our scope of work includes:
• May 2015 – September 2016
• Prime contractor for the 130 acre process
plant 11,600’ of silt fence installed
• (9) sediment basins
• Over 35 acres of permanent grassing
• 766,400 CY of excavation
• 22,550 CY of unsuitable excavation
and backfill
• 21,200 SF MSE wall, 400’ long X 60’ tall

13. PROJECT FEATURE
Holly Hill, SC
Home Branch Stream Relocation
• Market: Mining/Industrial
• Client: Lafarge Holcim Holly Hill Quarry
• Years of planning were required for what is one of the largest stream relocation projects
permitted by the Charleston District of the Army Corps of Engineers. Lafarge Holcim was
expanding their limestone quarry, and in order to do so we relocated the Home Branch
stream (which had already been relocated once before) back to its original location. This
project was extremely challenging because part of the stream ran through the existing
cement plant, and the planting of native species was extremely time-sensitive.
Our scope of work includes:
• Re-construction of Home Branch
creek (6,600 LF of stream relocation)
• H pile soldier shoring of existing
conveyor foundations
• 2 bridges (capacity up 287,000 lbs)
• 2,500 CY of reinforced concrete
channel
• Fly ash removal and disposal
• Dewatering
• 125,000 CY of excavation
• Extensive over excavation
• 125,000 CY of topsoil placement
• Over 850,000 CY of fill placement
• Over 50,000 native trees, shrubs and
plugs planted
• 3,200 LF of HDPE pipe from 24” to 8”

PROJECT FEATURE
Gaffney, SC
Project Red Deere/Blue Cell
• Market: Industrial
• Client: Undisclosed
• Our team constructed these two projects for a large industrial client in the upstate. Project Red Deere was a new 11-
acre heavy-duty parking lot for tractor trailers. We handled full scope from clearing, erosion control, mass grading, MSE
retaining walls, storm drainage, curb, and paving. This project was unique in that we exported over 110,000 CY of
material offsite. Project Blue Cell, on the same campus, involved site work and utilities for a 500,000-SF addition to an
existing building. A unique challenge on this project involved jack & boring a DIP line under the main power / gas supply
for the existing building to connect two separate sediment basins.
