My Hero Is My Grandmother
To me my hero would be Beth Evans, my Grandmother; she inspires me and puts a smile on my face everyday. I was blessed with her and what
she does for my family. She is the most generous person I've ever met and not just grandmother nature either I see her give to every person she
meets. I truly look up to her and she is a important part of my life, when I was born I was brought home to a pretty unstable environment my
parents and everyone around me were addicted to some pretty bad drugs, there were times where the yelling and arguing would never stop and I didn't
really go to school no one was there to make me go, I didn't have any friends really my best friend was my dog, she was a great companion when I was
alone. Fast forward a few years...show more content...
I remember my grandma telling me that night, the storm will come the rain will fall the dirt will get muddy and the roads will be flooded but there
will be one day Marissa where the sun is shinning and the birds are chirping and everything will be just as it should. That night a huge storm came, I
remember walking outside in the pouring rain all by myself maybe 6 years old and I sat behind this truck in the road and wishing that the sunny
beautiful day would come, I remember wishing for that day to come for my grandma and I wanted her to happy sitting in the sunshine laughing
enjoying herself, that is the first time I remember wanting good for someone else and not caring about myself or anything

My English Teacher
As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my
English classes. It was simple to me. I understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English became my
safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a
kind. She went above and beyond the expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure
that each and every student knew that. I want to be that kind of teacher, the kind that shows their students compassion while also helping them succeed

In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to ignore diversity in literature. When you are
reading a text and trying to comprehend the material you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the
information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and
from there adapt my teaching methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be bale to relate to my
students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The
reason I would use one of those topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some knowledge of these topics
therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to
be able to use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When teaching about poverty to poverty
stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings. I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and
you need to do something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns

The Teacher that Changed My Life Essay
The Teacher that Changed My Life
Whenever someone asks me what helped influence me to become a teacher the first thing I tell them is "a wise friend." This friend was my tenth
grade history teacher, Coach Carroll. I had always been very smart, but was board with school and tended not to always apply myself because of my
lack of interest. Most teachers acted negatively towards me when I didn't put forth the effort that I should and very easily could have. Some went as
far to tell me that "I shouldn't even apply to college" or "That college would be a waste of my parents money." But then there was Coach Carroll.
One day he told me a story of a boy, that all he wanted to do was play football. He didn't care about his classes, he...show more content...
That day he told me that the best teachers were some times the worst students. I know when he told me that I must have made a really weird face
cause I remember him laughing at me.
He told me that I understood what it was like to come to class and be board, or to struggle with certain tasks, and much it hurts when teachers don't
encourage you, but in turn put you down. He said, that because I understood these things first hand, I would be able to offer a more pleasant
environment for a wide range of students, verses only being able to connect with the very serious students. For the next two years of high school I did
a lot of soul searching, and worked on becoming a better student. Every time I would see Coach Carroll he would say things like, "Hello Miss
Konieczny, Did we have homework last night?" This was my little reminder that I had the personality and the drive to do a good job at
something...teaching. I will never forget at Senior awards night when they announced that I would be attending Texas Wesleyan University on a
partial scholarship and seeking a degree in Education. I think Coach Carroll cheered for me more than my own family. I learned how powerful it is
to have a teacher believe in you so much, long after you have left their classroom. I hope that one day someone can say the same about me, that I
inspired them to achieve their dreams and to make them a

My Mom Is My Hero
Everyone has someone they look up to, and everyone has a different hero. Some people's heros may be someone famous or someone in a book. My
hero just happens to be my mother, Naomi Peterson. She raised me and continues to raise me into the person I am and the person I am becoming.
She taught me from a very young age how to be a hard worker and to help others. For obvious reasons she is my idol and hero.
When I think about the qualities of a hero, I think of someone who is courageous, loving, and selfless. My mom is all of these and more. When I
was young and even today, I remember my mom doing things for others. She visited our neighbors, or cared for anyone who was sick or afflicted. My
mom has gone through so much in her life and I...show more content...
Especially the widows. Looking back, my mother was raising two kids at home and taking care of the women of the ward. She did it wonderfully and
I'm so grateful for her example.I learned an important lesson from her about how to be selfless.
When my mother was in fourth grade, she was playing tag at recess. Then one of the boys grabbed her hair and didn't let go. So my mother swung
to make the boy let go, and they ended up getting in a fist fight. The kids at recess began to surround them and started yelling stuff. Somehow she got
ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill that they were on. After that the boys never bugged her again.
Even though my mother was shy, I think that is pretty courageous for a young girl. When she tells me that story she reminds me to have courage and
stick up for yourself and for others.
My mother lives 2,872 miles away from her parents. Every time we go to Hawaii it breaks my heart when she has to leave my grandparents. I
admire my mother so much for being able to stay strong living so far away especially as they are getting so old. She has a tremendous amount of
courage being able to adjust to a new culture in Idaho.
My mom has raised five children, and I am the last one at home. "Perhaps it takes courage to raise children.." (Steinbeck) I think that couldn't be more
true. She raised all three of my older sisters to be

An Essay About My Teacher
It Takes No Time To Write An Essay
Have you ever just sat down with a blank piece of paper for what seemed like forever, tearing down every idea before you even wrote it? It takes
forever to write an essay. There are so many parts to essays and they're even harder to understand if your teacher has not explained them to you in
general. Rebecca Schuman (an education columnist for Slate) sarcastically thinks that it takes 45 minutes to write a crappy paper, but never touched
on an estimated time it takes to write a decent paper and still get a bad grade. In her idea it takes no time to write an essay. It seems sad to admit but I
am in college and just learned the essence of essays. My teacher is very visual and it is helpful to me. Everyone learns a different way, so some
instructors techniques may not even be knocking on the door of some students brains when it comes to writing. Schuman stated that students come to
college unable to write and leave the same way. To some students writing is as mysterious as a foreign language so this could be true. No matter how
many times you have heard what the details of a paper are: a topic, introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, these things have no meaning.
Until you know what they mean you are just putting a bunch of words together and calling it an essay. Knowing the details of a paper helps for better
understanding. Instead of just grading a paper and assuming the student did not take time to think it over, or was too busy

My Favorite Teacher in History
In my school there are many teachers. Each one teaches us different subjects. Although all of them are fairly good, there is one teacher whom I
love and admire the most. Her name is Mrs. Grace Gilo. There are some teachers, who hardly ever make an impact on, or touch someone's life for
the better. Some just go through life teaching. But there are some that change a person's life, for the better. She was the kind of person that everyone
loved. She never asked too much, or expected too much. She is the most pleasing personality that I have ever come across. She is an ideal teacher.
She has all those qualities which a good teacher is expected to have. A history teacher, a role model and now OIC at Mariano Marcos Memorial High

My High School Teacher
My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to
students. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own

Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the community, and the society. A good teacher is influential
and can impact others positively by being a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong
dedication towards teaching and students' learning.
A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face in school. A good teacher should also encourage
students to discover their own interest and talent. It also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of
honesty, good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and what is right. This also helps by shaping their
personal understanding of themselves and the world which will benefit them in their future.
I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can
see and obverse if any student is facing problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to speak out
to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I
am willing to devote my time to help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas and

My Career as a Teacher Essay
As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a
future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I
want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire.
In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and
foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in
the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content...
These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student
is able to get the most out of their learning experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different
approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching
styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which
uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the
experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the
thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve
accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which
includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing
classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued

My Most Influential Person was My Teacher
As my English literature skill happens, learning always starts with failure. In other words, Ms. Hui has great successful influence on me. One of it can
be her lessons as an idea of achieving English. Good thing is she's too ambitious enough to improve her students' literature skills to pass her class.
Therefore, she's considered a most inspirational teacher in Bayside High School. She can even lead her students to be the college students. In the
beginning of the school year, some students like me are struggled with their reading comprehension. They can't understand what they're reading about.
Ms. Hui, a best English literature teacher is in the classroom to teach them how to use their high–level of thinking to understand any challenging stories
to annotate some facts about its topic. After her students finished reading, they have to answer the literal questions by using their notes. When they
finished with their response to their story, Ms. Hui can observe their work. If she finds mistakes, she's nice enough to give hints. In addition, when
she's doing the review, she can write any important notes about what's going on in a story on the chalkboard. She also can define words from any works
of literatures that are unfamiliar to any of her students. As her desire, students have to Ace any English quizzes in order to understand any stories
/poems in the English Comprehension regent exam. Higher exam grades entitle her students to graduate high school as their main achievement.

My Teaching Experience Essay
When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my
first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many
different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the
classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of
how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I
believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period.
The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations
inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and
that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies
such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of
opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations

Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies
between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when
things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero"
the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong.
She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you?
On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My
aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo,
everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was
going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to

My Hero : My Best Friend
Yesterday afternoon I lost my teacher, my hero, my best friend, my favorite person––my father. We knew the inevitable was coming three months ago,
and my emotions have been all over the place. I have been preparing myself, but it's beginning to hit me and words can not describe how much I'll
miss him. Dad was diagnosed with lymphoma of the brain in June, and even though we were warned it might change his personality in a negative
way, my father had too much sweetness about him to let that happen. As usual, he faced adversity with courage, grace, and with a smile. He showed
us once again how to be an outstanding example of a human being. Dad was tall, strong, handsome, gentle, kind and fun. He had a passion for
anything with an engine. He rode motorcycles. After he retired he made a yearly trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with his nephew, Dennis. His
boyhood dream was to fly airplanes, and he made it happen. He flew his airplane as long as I've known him, and the last time he piloted his plane was
May of this year. He traveled the world while working for Learjet. He loved a slice of pie, a cold beer, animals, his friends and hisfamily. He loved life.
A real talker, Dad always had a story to tell about growing up on a north–central Kansas farm with his parents and nine siblings during the 1930's and
40's. He served in the Air Force and then moved to Wichita where he met our beautiful, French–speaking mother from south Louisiana whose job

What is a Hero? Essay
What is a Hero? There are many types of heroes (such as the ones in comic books, myths, movies, or even just everyday life heroes) but all of them
have perseverance when they're going through a conflict. Heroes are role models and they're people that we look up too. They all have unique and
special qualities that make one another different from each other. For example policemen battle crime everyday and when they're overcoming a conflict
they have determination, courage and other traits that people admire them for and that make them as a hero. Typically a hero is admired for their
achievement/actions and qualities. There once was a speech made, from a man who was admired and looked up too by many people. His name was
Martin Luther...show more content...
Many of us thought he was a very inspiring and wonderful man because he had achieved his goal by showing everyone that all of us are equal. If it
weren't for him, there probably wouldn't be different races here in the world getting along together today. Another idea of a hero was when
Gandhi had stood up for his country; India. "Gandhi led nationwide campaigns to ease poverty, expand women's rights, and build religious and
ethnic amity" plus he had "spent a number of years in jail in both South Africa and India". In other words Gandhi never gave up showing everyone
how India should be independent. Gandhi had stood out his way by leading marches to declare independence. Gandhi had been admired for his
bravery (when he was thrown in jail a few times), his confidence (he never showed any sign of weakness) and perseverance (he had never gave up).
Heroes are not always people who lead marches or do things for their country. For example policemen, firefighters, nurses, lifeguards etc. are heroes
everyday because they take the time to save lives. When they're going through a challenge or trying to overcome a conflict they always have
courage. These people risk their own life to save someone else's. To be more specific Dr. Ginger Holt from Dallas had saved a little boy's leg. She
was confident and determined to finding out what went wrong in the boy's leg and went through many procedures looking at the tests.

Growing up, we are all faced with images of Superheroes. Spiderman, Superman, and my personal favorite, Dash from the Incredibles. A superhero is

People always ask my mother, why on earth she dropped out of high school. She said that at the time, in her 17–year–old head, it made more sense to
be at home protecting her daughter, than completing her education.
Yes, the person I deem a superhero, my mother, got pregnant at the ripe age of 17, the same age I am now. My mom became pregnant during her
junior year of high school. Not to brag, but, despite her choices, she was a very gifted student. My mom gave birth to my sister in 1987 after
completing her junior year. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school during her senior year and with the support of my grandmother, began to
work different jobs to support my sister.
I just want to share that at times, it seems that her decision not to complete school drives my mother the most. She is maniacal about young women
completing their education and pursing advance degrees. She is especially passionate about her daughters, which of course includes me, completing
their education. But that's fine, it's not like I have ever experienced any "pressure" to succeed. (LOL)

I had teacher teachers who influenced me in a positive way and I had teachers who influenced me in a bad way. For example, I always enjoyed my
Biology class when I was a freshman because my teacher made his lectures interesting and gave us time to work on our homework in class. On the
other hand, I always had teachers who were mean and acted like they were my boss. I still tried to do good on those classes, but it had a negative
impact on me. The article "Teenage Brains Are Malleable and Vulnerable, Researchers Say" written by John Hamilton explains the experiments
that were done and got the results that the huge social changes teengaers go through reflects on their brains. This proves the fact that teachers

I believe that heroes exist in everyone's life. Heroes are people who are willing to risk their life without considering or even acknowledging there is a

That's one reason my mom is my hero. Another story I can think of when my mom was a hero for me was back in 10th grade when I got one of my

and we were facing the spuds, or as everyone calls them the mashed potatoes. We were five minutes into the game and I hurt my ankle. When I went

attempted to do it , when I did my elbow landed on my knee and I thought I broke my wrist. During this it was my mom that was there to bring me to
the doctor and help me get through another big injury.
In my eyes heroes do exist they can be anyone that does something for the benefits for others. My mom , for example, is always been there for me to
help get me through my injuries as moral support, and my mom is just one

My Grandmother Is My Hero

  • 1. My Hero Is My Grandmother To me my hero would be Beth Evans, my Grandmother; she inspires me and puts a smile on my face everyday. I was blessed with her and what she does for my family. She is the most generous person I've ever met and not just grandmother nature either I see her give to every person she meets. I truly look up to her and she is a important part of my life, when I was born I was brought home to a pretty unstable environment my parents and everyone around me were addicted to some pretty bad drugs, there were times where the yelling and arguing would never stop and I didn't really go to school no one was there to make me go, I didn't have any friends really my best friend was my dog, she was a great companion when I was alone. Fast forward a few years...show more content... I remember my grandma telling me that night, the storm will come the rain will fall the dirt will get muddy and the roads will be flooded but there will be one day Marissa where the sun is shinning and the birds are chirping and everything will be just as it should. That night a huge storm came, I remember walking outside in the pouring rain all by myself maybe 6 years old and I sat behind this truck in the road and wishing that the sunny beautiful day would come, I remember wishing for that day to come for my grandma and I wanted her to happy sitting in the sunshine laughing enjoying herself, that is the first time I remember wanting good for someone else and not caring about myself or anything Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My English Teacher As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my English classes. It was simple to me. I understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English became my safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a kind. She went above and beyond the expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure that each and every student knew that. I want to be that kind of teacher, the kind that shows their students compassion while also helping them succeed ...show more content... In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to ignore diversity in literature. When you are reading a text and trying to comprehend the material you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and from there adapt my teaching methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be bale to relate to my students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The reason I would use one of those topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some knowledge of these topics therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to be able to use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When teaching about poverty to poverty stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings. I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and you need to do something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. The Teacher that Changed My Life Essay The Teacher that Changed My Life Whenever someone asks me what helped influence me to become a teacher the first thing I tell them is "a wise friend." This friend was my tenth grade history teacher, Coach Carroll. I had always been very smart, but was board with school and tended not to always apply myself because of my lack of interest. Most teachers acted negatively towards me when I didn't put forth the effort that I should and very easily could have. Some went as far to tell me that "I shouldn't even apply to college" or "That college would be a waste of my parents money." But then there was Coach Carroll. One day he told me a story of a boy, that all he wanted to do was play football. He didn't care about his classes, he...show more content... That day he told me that the best teachers were some times the worst students. I know when he told me that I must have made a really weird face cause I remember him laughing at me. He told me that I understood what it was like to come to class and be board, or to struggle with certain tasks, and much it hurts when teachers don't encourage you, but in turn put you down. He said, that because I understood these things first hand, I would be able to offer a more pleasant environment for a wide range of students, verses only being able to connect with the very serious students. For the next two years of high school I did a lot of soul searching, and worked on becoming a better student. Every time I would see Coach Carroll he would say things like, "Hello Miss Konieczny, Did we have homework last night?" This was my little reminder that I had the personality and the drive to do a good job at something...teaching. I will never forget at Senior awards night when they announced that I would be attending Texas Wesleyan University on a partial scholarship and seeking a degree in Education. I think Coach Carroll cheered for me more than my own family. I learned how powerful it is to have a teacher believe in you so much, long after you have left their classroom. I hope that one day someone can say the same about me, that I inspired them to achieve their dreams and to make them a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Mom Is My Hero Everyone has someone they look up to, and everyone has a different hero. Some people's heros may be someone famous or someone in a book. My hero just happens to be my mother, Naomi Peterson. When I was young and even today, I remember my mom doing things for others. She visited our neighbors, or cared for anyone who was sick or afflicted. My mom has gone through so much in her life and I...show more content... Especially the widows. Looking back, my mother was raising two kids at home and taking care of the women of the ward. She did it wonderfully and I'm so grateful for her example.I learned an important lesson from her about how to be selfless. When my mother was in fourth grade, she was playing tag at recess. Then one of the boys grabbed her hair and didn't let go. So my mother swung to make the boy let go, and they ended up getting in a fist fight. The kids at recess began to surround them and started yelling stuff. Somehow she got ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill that they were on. After that the boys never bugged her again. Even though my mother was shy, I think that is pretty courageous for a young girl. When she tells me that story she reminds me to have courage and stick up for yourself and for others. My mother lives 2,872 miles away from her parents. Every time we go to Hawaii it breaks my heart when she has to leave my grandparents. I admire my mother so much for being able to stay strong living so far away especially as they are getting so old. She has a tremendous amount of courage being able to adjust to a new culture in Idaho. My mom has raised five children, and I am the last one at home. "Perhaps it takes courage to raise children.." (Steinbeck) I think that couldn't be more true. She raised all three of my older sisters to be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. An Essay About My Teacher It Takes No Time To Write An Essay Have you ever just sat down with a blank piece of paper for what seemed like forever, tearing down every idea before you even wrote it? It takes forever to write an essay. There are so many parts to essays and they're even harder to understand if your teacher has not explained them to you in general. Rebecca Schuman (an education columnist for Slate) sarcastically thinks that it takes 45 minutes to write a crappy paper, but never touched on an estimated time it takes to write a decent paper and still get a bad grade. In her idea it takes no time to write an essay. It seems sad to admit but I am in college and just learned the essence of essays. My teacher is very visual and it is helpful to me. Everyone learns a different way, so some instructors techniques may not even be knocking on the door of some students brains when it comes to writing. Schuman stated that students come to college unable to write and leave the same way. To some students writing is as mysterious as a foreign language so this could be true. No matter how many times you have heard what the details of a paper are: a topic, introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, these things have no meaning. Until you know what they mean you are just putting a bunch of words together and calling it an essay. Knowing the details of a paper helps for better understanding. Instead of just grading a paper and assuming the student did not take time to think it over, or was too busy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Almost everybody has been to the place that my heroes work at. They take care of you when you're sick or injured, they give you nice warm blankets when you're cold and, they are always saving lives. "Nurses" Nurses are my hero. Nurses are always keeping people safe, what makes them special is they put other people's lives before their own, and most of the time they don't think as them selves as heroes. Nurses are my hero because I have been to the hospital a lot, and I feel safer when they are there. Even though they have families they work night and day, savings life's and keeping people safe. They do anything, no matter what it takes to save your life. Nurses do the little things doctors don't. Like giving you medication, getting you ready...show more content... One day my mom and I went to the beach, the water was really cold, and right when I walked in the water that is when it started. My Asthma flared up and as I stayed in the water the worse my asthma got. As I got in the car is when I relived I was having a hard time breathing. We rushed to the hospital. As we waited it line till it was our turn. After waiting in the line we got registered then we had to wait in the lobby. Just a few minutes later they said my name. We went to a side room to run some test. Later they brought me In a room with a tv, a bed and a bathroom. As my asthma got worse the nurse came in and he was holding a cup of water and a little cup with some pills and later he said I had to get a shot. I was crying so much, but he said" do you want to know a trick. If you tighten your muscles, it will hurt a lot, but if you relax it won't hurt. Now every time I get a shot I use that trick. Nurses will always be my hero because of the things they have done for me and my family. Nurses are normal people in a everyday life, but they do extraordinary things like saving other people's life's. Nurses are very compassionate and caring, they also take the time to explain little things, and they do the little things that doctors don't. Nurses have and always been my hero because of the things they have done for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Favorite Teacher in History In my school there are many teachers. Each one teaches us different subjects. Although all of them are fairly good, there is one teacher whom I love and admire the most. Her name is Mrs. Grace Gilo. There are some teachers, who hardly ever make an impact on, or touch someone's life for the better. Some just go through life teaching. But there are some that change a person's life, for the better. She was the kind of person that everyone loved. She never asked too much, or expected too much. She is the most pleasing personality that I have ever come across. She is an ideal teacher. She has all those qualities which a good teacher is expected to have. A history teacher, a role model and now OIC at Mariano Marcos Memorial High School. Mrs....show more content... As I begin my first year of college, I can't help but look back and reminisce about my days as a high school student. I feel lucky for having had such an unforgettable high school life and thankful for the people that were a part of it. Mrs. Gilo has always been more than an educator to me. • 8. My High School Teacher My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to students. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable. Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the community, and the society. A good teacher is influential and can impact others positively by being a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong dedication towards teaching and students' learning. A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face in school. A good teacher should also encourage students to discover their own interest and talent. It also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of honesty, good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and what is right. This also helps by shaping their personal understanding of themselves and the world which will benefit them in their future. I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can see and obverse if any student is facing problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to speak out to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. • 9. My Career as a Teacher Essay As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content... These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Most Influential Person was My Teacher As my English literature skill happens, learning always starts with failure. In other words, Ms. Hui has great successful influence on me. One of it can be her lessons as an idea of achieving English. Good thing is she's too ambitious enough to improve her students' literature skills to pass her class. Therefore, she's considered a most inspirational teacher in Bayside High School. She can even lead her students to be the college students. In the beginning of the school year, some students like me are struggled with their reading comprehension. They can't understand what they're reading about. Ms. Hui, a best English literature teacher is in the classroom to teach them how to use their high–level of thinking to understand any challenging stories to annotate some facts about its topic. After her students finished reading, they have to answer the literal questions by using their notes. When they finished with their response to their story, Ms. Hui can observe their work. If she finds mistakes, she's nice enough to give hints. In addition, when she's doing the review, she can write any important notes about what's going on in a story on the chalkboard. She also can define words from any works of literatures that are unfamiliar to any of her students. As her desire, students have to Ace any English quizzes in order to understand any stories /poems in the English Comprehension regent exam. Higher exam grades entitle her students to graduate high school as their main achievement. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Teaching Experience Essay When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period. The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay About A Hero When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Hero : My Best Friend Yesterday afternoon I lost my teacher, my hero, my best friend, my favorite person––my father. We knew the inevitable was coming three months ago, and my emotions have been all over the place. I have been preparing myself, but it's beginning to hit me and words can not describe how much I'll miss him. Dad was diagnosed with lymphoma of the brain in June, and even though we were warned it might change his personality in a negative way, my father had too much sweetness about him to let that happen. As usual, he faced adversity with courage, grace, and with a smile. He showed us once again how to be an outstanding example of a human being. Dad was tall, strong, handsome, gentle, kind and fun. He had a passion for anything with an engine. He rode motorcycles. After he retired he made a yearly trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with his nephew, Dennis. His boyhood dream was to fly airplanes, and he made it happen. He flew his airplane as long as I've known him, and the last time he piloted his plane was May of this year. He traveled the world while working for Learjet. He loved a slice of pie, a cold beer, animals, his friends and hisfamily. He loved life. A real talker, Dad always had a story to tell about growing up on a north–central Kansas farm with his parents and nine siblings during the 1930's and 40's. He served in the Air Force and then moved to Wichita where he met our beautiful, French–speaking mother from south Louisiana whose job transferred her Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. What is a Hero? Essay What is a Hero? There are many types of heroes (such as the ones in comic books, myths, movies, or even just everyday life heroes) but all of them have perseverance when they're going through a conflict. Heroes are role models and they're people that we look up too. They all have unique and special qualities that make one another different from each other. For example policemen battle crime everyday and when they're overcoming a conflict they have determination, courage and other traits that people admire them for and that make them as a hero. Typically a hero is admired for their achievement/actions and qualities. There once was a speech made, from a man who was admired and looked up too by many people. His name was Martin Luther...show more content... Many of us thought he was a very inspiring and wonderful man because he had achieved his goal by showing everyone that all of us are equal. If it weren't for him, there probably wouldn't be different races here in the world getting along together today. Another idea of a hero was when Gandhi had stood up for his country; India. "Gandhi led nationwide campaigns to ease poverty, expand women's rights, and build religious and ethnic amity" plus he had "spent a number of years in jail in both South Africa and India". In other words Gandhi never gave up showing everyone how India should be independent. Gandhi had stood out his way by leading marches to declare independence. Gandhi had been admired for his bravery (when he was thrown in jail a few times), his confidence (he never showed any sign of weakness) and perseverance (he had never gave up). Heroes are not always people who lead marches or do things for their country. For example policemen, firefighters, nurses, lifeguards etc. are heroes everyday because they take the time to save lives. When they're going through a challenge or trying to overcome a conflict they always have courage. These people risk their own life to save someone else's. To be more specific Dr. Ginger Holt from Dallas had saved a little boy's leg. She was confident and determined to finding out what went wrong in the boy's leg and went through many procedures looking at the tests. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Mother, My Superhero Essay examples Growing up, we are all faced with images of Superheroes. Spiderman, Superman, and my personal favorite, Dash from the Incredibles. A superhero is described by Merriam–Webster's dictionary online as ": a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also : an exceptionally skillful or successful person". I can say that I have met a real life superwoman. She changed my life and taught me such an impactful message that I decided to share with you.. Born to a teen mother, this superhero in the making faced challenges from the day she was born. My mother experienced things that most of us only hear or read about. This opened a door to a spiral of choices that included promiscuity, teenage pregnancy and dropping out of high school. (PAUSE) People always ask my mother, why on earth she dropped out of high school. She said that at the time, in her 17–year–old head, it made more sense to be at home protecting her daughter, than completing her education. Yes, the person I deem a superhero, my mother, got pregnant at the ripe age of 17, the same age I am now. My mom became pregnant during her junior year of high school. Not to brag, but, despite her choices, she was a very gifted student. My mom gave birth to my sister in 1987 after completing her junior year. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school during her senior year and with the support of my grandmother, began to work different jobs to support my sister. I just want to share that at times, it seems that her decision not to complete school drives my mother the most. She is maniacal about young women completing their education and pursing advance degrees. She is especially passionate about her daughters, which of course includes me, completing their education. But that's fine, it's not like I have ever experienced any "pressure" to succeed. (LOL) After giving birth to my sister, my mother worked odd jobs for the next few years, and then she gave birth to me, her second daughter. I often hear that my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Hero Essay My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like the best friend I could ever have. I remember the amount of times that...show more content... It took too many hours away from me so she left her job to take care of elderly people during the day and clean peoples homes during the weekends to make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to spend time with me and get money. I remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn't afford it, basically they couldn't afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom worked in everything she could find and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until she got to America. She did it because she couldn't bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and her do nothing. • 17. My Teacher I had teacher teachers who influenced me in a positive way and I had teachers who influenced me in a bad way. For example, I always enjoyed my Biology class when I was a freshman because my teacher made his lectures interesting and gave us time to work on our homework in class. On the other hand, I always had teachers who were mean and acted like they were my boss. I still tried to do good on those classes, but it had a negative impact on me. The article "Teenage Brains Are Malleable and Vulnerable, Researchers Say" written by John Hamilton explains the experiments that were done and got the results that the huge social changes teengaers go through reflects on their brains. This proves the fact that teachers could affect students in positive or negative ways especially when the teachers in junior high and high school. The relationship between me and my teacher relates to the text because as we hear "school is our second home" and all the teenagers spend about 7 hours in school which is about one third of the whole day. Teachers will influence the way they react. One of the responsibilities that teachers have is to make sure that all the students respect each other, therefore they can have a safe learning environment ands collaborate with each other. My friends had impacted me in different ways. I had friends from all over the world and earned experiences from this part. • 18. Descriptive Essay About My Teacher My creator. My abettor. My sidekick. My teacher. My defender. My superstar. These are all the things that my sire wholeheartedly is. From keeping me safe to play childish games, he is always there to guide me. Although his overloaded job keeps him at station for an eternity, he quickly maneuvers through the overwhelming pile of work, and somehow still finds time to help me study for a test, help me finish my homework, and play games with me. When a monstrous test is charging at me with all of its might, he uses his brilliant mind to swiftly teach me how to defeat the test with a triumphant score. Then comes the period of activity, the hardest part of his day, the part where he almost always quits and leaves: the workout. With a determination to become physically fit, he bolts up the rigid stairs, charging into his closet to get dressed into his navy baggy sweatpants and his neon yellow t–shirt; then races down to the basement like it's the end of the world. The Xbox sits idle while the fitness game eagerly waits to be played. He fires up the Xbox and starts on his 1–hour journey to absolutely destroy the computer in tennis. Following his crushing victory over the weak computer in tennis, I wandered to the basement in hopes of escaping my dreadful homework, only to be absolutely flabbergasted by the number of experience points he has gained on the game. Then comes the part where my ponderous dad sluggishly lumbers up the stern stairs. Suddenly his stomach rumbles and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Hero Is My Family My hero in a family of many I believe that heroes exist in everyone's life. Heroes are people who are willing to risk their life without considering or even acknowledging there is a reward, whether it be a physical or mental one. Heroes are lifesavers who are in the right place at the right time to help a person who is in need. I know heroes are in my life because I've been saved time and time again by my hero. My hero is someone that has always been there for me in my time of need to help me through tough times. My hero is my mother. Another story I can think of when my mom was a hero for me was back in 10th grade when I got one of my worst injury years possible. The first one I had to go through was super early in the year. It was during my first junior varsity game of the season, and we were facing the spuds, or as everyone calls them the mashed potatoes. We were five minutes into the game and I hurt my ankle. When I went to the trainer, after being helped off the field, the trainer told me he thought I had broken my ankle, during this my mom was right there helping comfort me. We went to the doctor after the game had finished and after a long couple hours they had told me it was only a bad ankle sprain. After doing rehab for what seems like forever I had finally got cleared to return to playing after 4–5 weeks. Once the football season was over and wrestling I had started lifting to try to get back to pre–injury form and get better. During one of our max out days I had one–hundred and eighty–five pounds I had attempted to do it , when I did my elbow landed on my knee and I thought I broke my wrist. During this it was my mom that was there to bring me to the doctor and help me get through another big injury. In my eyes heroes do exist they can be anyone that does something for the benefits for others. My mom , for example, is always been there for me to help get me through my injuries as moral support, and my mom is just one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
