GSU Society Banquet Report
As a business student at Georgia State University, and as a huge fan of your work I was wondering if you would like to be the speaker at this years
GSU Management Society banquet on May 5th. Many of my fellow students, including myself, admire your book Beyond Race and Gender. Our
professor even said you were now the nation's diversity management guru. Some of our speakers in the past have included the reverend James R.

In order to design such a building for seismological risks, preliminary research is done about the geological conditions of the city, fault locations, and
earthquake history. Three earthquakes were chosen that occurred in the vicinity of the city, and their characteristics were analyzed, as were any effects
resulting from those quakes, including liquefaction, landslides, or settlement. At the conclusion of this project, recommendations for the structure were
provided in relation to the seismic analysis of the area. The structure must follow any codes regarding seismic design, as well as perform up to the
standard set by various organizations, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Chapter 1
Introduction
1.1 Background Information
Earthquakes rank as one of the most devastating natural disasters that can occur, causing damage to multiple facets of society. Earthquakes can cause
major damage to vital infrastructure, cost human lives, and trigger other events that can cause even more destruction. Throughout history, earthquakes
have caused millions, even billions of dollars of damage to cities and towns alike. Much of the destruction resulting from earthquakes is a product of
poor design against seismic loads and forces. However as we have become more educated about what causes earthquakes and where they come from,
we have been able to better fortify our structures to resist such forces, and have been able to

Fundraiser Persuasive Letter
Jackie, Ife, Tai,
I hope you are having a good weekend thus far. I email you to discuss fundraising for the athletics programs. Speaking with Minix regarding tournament
fees, I believe if each sports program can conduct fundraisers from the entire athletic department. I would love to be the point of contact for fundraisers
with the athletic department.
Some ideas regarding fundraisers is that we have two fundraisers per semester, one at the end of August and another at the end of October. Each
sport can engage in friendly competition to see who can raise the most for the athletic program. For example, the fall semester will be football,
volleyball, and cheerleaders. In the spring it will be Boys and girls basketball, boys/girls

Problems Faced By San Francisco
San Francisco is one of America's most vibrant, richly complex cities to reside in. Anyone who has ever visited or lived in San Francisco knows that
available parking is a scarcity. Although well known for its great climate, amazing landmarks, unique attractions and diverse culture, the shortage of
parking space is a force to reckon with. The parking demand in San Francisco is so intense that often residents and commuters are routinely frustrated
with trying to seize a parking space whether for work, shopping or storing their vehicle. Furthermore, this just downplays how important a parking spot
can be for a considerable amount of San Francisco 's occupants. Drivers often scan between 10–30 minutes, once in a while futile, just to locate a
desired parking spot. The time connected with discovering a parking spot limits the comfort of traveling in the car and is an implicit expense of
driving in San Francisco. Raising prices for residential parking permits, increasing meter rates and changing off–street parking standards are three key
areas that require attention to help resolve this dilemma. Raising prices on residential parking permits San Francisco's planning department has
considered raising the price of the residential parking permits. The parking permit was petitioned by 27 neighborhoods which means that the demand
for these coveted permits were high. However, the demand for the permits is higher than the actual supply of spaces available. Before the city can

San Francisco State University Scholarship Essay
Currently, my goals are to obtain a Ph.D. in mathematics and work as a professor who conducts research and teaches at the university level. To me,
research is very important since it pushes the current knowledge we possess forward and the feeling of understanding the unknown gives me immense
pleasure. I highly value teaching as well since passing down knowledge is vital in mathematics and in general. During my time working as a tutor at
the Mathematics Learning Center at Queensborough Community College, my favorite part of the job was seeing students having aha moments. It is
very gratifying to help someone understand a concept. During my undergraduate experience, I benefitted from having many great professors who
encouraged me to pursue math. I would one day like to mentor students so that I can give back and hopefully organize a research experience for
undergraduates (REU) program so that students are able to experience the joy of research....show more content...
If I am awarded the scholarship, then it would help me in covering tuition and books. In addition, it would make my transition from New York to San
Francisco smoother. I believe SFSU can help me achieve both personal and professional goals. I have already had very positive experiences interacting
with SFSU faculty and students. At the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute–Undergraduate Program, one of my mentors, Dr. Federico Ardila,
was very supportive and provided me with much confidence during times when I did not believe in myself. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr.
Matthais Beck and Dr. Dusty Ross, both of whom were very patient with me in explaining the fields they work in. Knowing that there are more people
like them in the SFSU community makes me believe that I can truly benefit from attending there. Doing so would also bring me a step closer to my

International Marketing Case
1.After reading the "Direct Mail" article posted in our course, discuss three things you learned related to online giving trends of donors from different
generations.
The younger the donor the more likely the donor will respond to a direct mail appeal online. It makes sense that Millennial's and other younger
generations are more likely to reply on the Internet based on their interest in technology.
The Boomer generation, who are most likely to donate, also prefer donating online. 1 out of 4 individuals in this age range will reply to a direct mail
appeal through the mail over the Internet.
3 out of 4 individuals over 65 will reply to a direct mail appeal through the mail. Again, this is what I would expect. My grandparents would respond

It seems like the best deal, with different monthly fees depending on what the nonprofit I was working for needed and only taking 3% of all profits

there are also features available for the donor to track their donations as well as set up automated monthly giving.
3.A nonprofit special event could serve as a fundraiser. According to your textbook, what should be another important reason to host an event and how
could it support the three key aspects of fundraising discussed by the author?
Another reason events are used to serve as fundraisers are because events are a tool used to help donors build meaningful relationships with the
nonprofit's cause. Events help to cultivate potential donors interests in the organization, solicit the gift, and show the donor how the organization will
properly use the gift. These three steps–cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship–are supported and utilized by special events as a fundraising tool.
Often times a special event focuses on one particular aspect of fundraising at a time, however, one can see how all three aspects are necessary in
every form of special

OCUPAC Case Study
Dear, As Trustees for the Oklahoma Credit Union Political Action Committee we are writing to ask for your help in our OCUPAC fundraising
efforts. As you know, OCUPAC is an important tool in our advocacy tool belt and is instrumental in advancing credit union interests on the state and
federal levels. It allows us the opportunity to build relationships with and back candidates we feel are supportive of our issues or open to learning
more about the credit union movement and our priorities, a goal that is more essential than ever. It is important to note that party affiliation is not a
factor when determining which candidates we will support. Our decisions are based solely on whether a candidate demostrates the potential to be an

Colony Pledging Ceremony
All, We are almost halfway through the expansion here at the College of Charleston! There has been a noticeable spike in interest in our
organization over the past week when compared to last week. After presenting and getting in contact with several sororities and other student
organizations, our names list almost quadrupled in size. The sororities and organizations seem to be very receptive to our mission here and they
have been supportive overall. It seems that every day we have someone come to the tent with another referral to give us. Overall, the expansion has
been going along smoothly. The only issue that we have been facing is getting a chapter to come down to perform the colony pledging ceremony.
We originally had Iota Kappa locked down, but they just recently backed out due to time and logistical reasons. We are working hard to fill that spot
and provide an unforgettable first experience for the men of the College of Charleston Crescent Colony or, what I am calling them, the CCCC! Names

bids and within the 3rd and 2nd meeting statuses. We are determined to make the meeting itself welcoming, but will try and facilitate deeper level
discussions to show the men what is to be expected. We also have three other presentations which has the ability to yield a large number of referrals.
Next week will also be the start of officer interviews. There have been many founding fathers who have shown interest in running for many different
positions already, so we are excited to see how they all play

Uadm Research Paper
University of Alabama Dance Marathon (UADM) hosted their second annual $100 day on Wednesday September 14th. They set a goal to raise
$30,000 in 24 hours by challenging their staff and miracle makers to raise $100 each. Surpassing their goal they raised a total of $50,160.58. All
money raised is donated to the Children's Miracle Network, and more specifically Children's of Alabama. UADM host $100 day in September each
year as part of childhood cancer awareness month. This fundraiser is just one way that UADM is working to help sick kids have the opportunity to
celebrate another birthday.
The event kicked off at 12:01am. UADM hosted several events to raise awareness and money throughout the day.

Wednesday night UADM partnered with Mooyah on the strip and hosted a fundraising night. More than 400 students came out to enjoy burgers and

a vested interest in a cause so many students care about so deeply," Andrew Reed, Director or Corporate Partnerships said.
UADM has been on campus for six years. Their main fundraiser happens in the spring with their 12–hour dance marathon. However, adding the $100
day has made a huge impact in the amount they are able to raise for the year.
For students who are interested in getting involved in UADM, they can visit the website, www.uadm.ua.edu and find a link to register for the dance
marathon that will be held on February 11th in the Ferg. Once registered students will begin receiving information on all other

Research Paper On San Francisco
I think San Francisco is the continual central hub of important, groundbreaking movements in history like the Gold Rush, Barbary Coast, Beat
Generation, Summer of Love, the ascendance of the gay community, and the rise and fall of Harvey Milk, and further current movements from the
20th and 21st centuries. This is mostly because of how San Francisco really is like a melting pot of all different cultures and ideas in our society. It
can definitely be stated that San Francisco is one of the most diverse cities in the world. I think that people come to San Francisco because it has
always been seen as a point of innovation and starting important movements. Before I had taken this class I would have had already referred to San
Francisco as the gay capital of the nation because it was one of the earliest cities to legalize same–sex marriage via former mayor Gavin Newsom in

It's actually interesting that I am taking another class on the history of rock music so we also talked about psychedelic and acid rock. San
Francisco has always been a very progressive city as being the focal point for change before the rest of the nation takes notice and is influenced by
it. A lot of people have immigrated to San Francisco because they have viewed it as a land of opportunity as is evidenced by everyone who came to
San Francisco during the Gold Rush era. This is especially true for the Chinese people who came to San Francisco for the gold and also worked on
the Transcontinental Railroad. San Francisco also has quite a character as is evidenced by the Barbary Coast, Beat Generation, and Summer of Love
which created a unique personality for the

My Day At Munt
1.My day at MUN consisted of helping organize the event. At the beginning of the day I helped out by handing out event brochure to every student
and teachers. After that if the teacher weren't sure where their room was located, I had to help the guide to the classroom they needed to be at. As
soon, as everybody was in their class rooming debating, some of the conference service helpers had to be in each classroom to be a page. Which I
was one of them, my goal was to pass the notes around for the high and middle school students. At the middle of the day of the event I and other
students had to set up the food for the students and teachers, by the end of the day I had to type up resolutions that the student came up with.

The Influence Of The University Of San Francisco
When choosing what college to go to, you're going to want to consider several different factors. If you're spending 2 or 4 years there, who you're
going to be around and where might be just as important as the education you're receiving. Lucky for you, all the information you'll want about the
University of San Francisco is conveniently compiled below. USF has a lot to offer, and today you can read about its location and history, academics,
diversity, awards, and facts and statistics. Find out if USF is the right school for you. San Francisco has long been a cultural influence for the country,
and USF is no exception. It was established as a St. Ignatius Academy in 1855, and became fully coed in 1964 ("USF: Our History"). The main campus

Along with exciting culture and respected academics, USF is also an extremely diverse school. Their incoming Freshman class of Fall 2016 was
73.8% students of color and 61.7% female students ("USF: Facts and Statistics"), and extracurriculars and clubs include the University of San Francisco
BSU ("University of San Francisco"). Also, despite being a Jesuit Catholic school, students only have a theology requirement, and no obligation to
practice Catholicism ("About USF: Who We Are: Jesuit Catholic"). While attending USF, students and teachers are free to practice whichever religion
they want. The school focuses less on the religion, and more on their Jesuit values, as reflected in their community service and world–outreach
programs. Additionally, USF has received numerous commendations from several sources, for both the school's programs, and thecollege as a whole.
One example is the "Healthiest Workplace Award" which USF has received four years in a row (American Heart Association). USF was also ranked #4
in "College City Gets High Marks" (The Princeton Review). The university has been listed as a Tier One National University (US News and World
Report) as well. These are just some of many awards the school has received. As crucial as information about college life and education, is information
on how to get in. USF, as of 2015, has an acceptance rate of 65% ("US News and World Report"). The average GPA is 3.40 and the average combined
new SAT is 1211 ("USF: Facts

Community Reflection
In 2014, while living in Bermuda, I attended a youth conference with my two sisters in Baltimore, Maryland. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and
when we arrived back in Bermuda it was all we were able to talk about for weeks. So much so that our aunt thought it would be a great idea to host
a youth conference on the island. When she got the approval for the conference to take place in 2015 she told me that she would need my help in
organizing it and I obliged since I love to plan big events. Before long I found myself doing everything without her input, because she never had time.
Planning this conference consumed me, and I was not enjoying it. Everyone who was supposed to be on board to help, continuously flaked. To make
matters worse, the aunt who I was supposed to be partnering with, continuously changed the entire course of the conference whenever we actually
found time to have a meeting, which meant I was constantly back at the drawing board to fit in her ideas. While planning this conference, I was in
school full–time online at Penn State, working as an after–school teacher, and active in many community service projects. I was determined to get
everything done and succeed because I hated the idea of failure. The stress and pressure built up to the point where I stopped sleeping and barely ate.
I was just constantly working and trying to find enough hours in the day to get all my school work done, make sure the conference was a success and
not drop the ball on any of my

The University Of San Francisco Essay
Coming from a conservative town in Southern California, I was drawn to the city of San Francisco due to its diversity of cultures. My goal is to be a
lawyer, and to achieve that, I believe it is critical for lawyers to acquire knowledge from various perspectives as a means of becoming a well–rounded,
active citizen in society. The University of San Francisco became my dream school early on in high school. Not only did the city have everything
I was looking for, but the school itself has social justice embedded in its curriculum, which sealed the deal. My first year at USF, I found myself
focused mainly on accustoming to my new environment and the college course work. So as class registration came closer last spring, I made
finding a class or club that focuses on social justice a very important matter. I did research on various opportunities USF had to offer and ultimately,
focused on the living learning communities. I thought the idea of living with classmates was fascinating; you have the ability to make a community
outside the classroom with people who share similar values. Erasmus, expanding its teaching of social justice to the Cambodian society, was the niche
I had been searching for since I received my college acceptance letter. A class on an abstract topic such as social justice is very intriguing. I believe
that social justice should be discussed more, and in a classroom environment, you are not just given the opportunity to discuss different perspectives

Executive Board Research Paper
Why are you interested in holding an executive board position?
I am interested in holding an executive board position because I've always been passionate about healthcare and having a role in ensuring that people
that look like me (minorities) are represented in healthcare fields. I believe that MAPS is doing a great job providing underrepresented pre–health
students with knowledge, skills and experiences that are both prerequisite to and concomitant to professional participation in health care fields,
therefore I would like to be apart of continuing such greatness. I know that I can contribute more to the organization by becoming a leader in it. Like
most pre–med students I am organized, dependable, and committed. However, what sets me apart...show more content...
If elected I would continue to do concessions, profit shares, bake sales, Reed Arena cleanups, and the spare change fundraiser. However, I would
also expand the concession fundraiser to not only football but to baseball and softball games as well. I would also like to sell MAPS merchandise
(give points for buying/and or wearing MAPS merchandise to meetings/events). There should also be a semester or year long raffle prize where
members buy a raffle ticket and a winner is chosen at random and given giftcards, MAPS merchandise, MCAT study materials, etc. We could also host
an event (such as a suture clinic, pre–med "symposium" featuring previous MAPS speakers and/or relevant med speakers, etc.) where members (or
people interested in the event) would have to pay to enter. I also think that transportation to the profit shares is a big obstacle to MAPS being able to
reach its full potential regarding fundraisers. I think that it should be noted at the beginning of the semester (and heavily emphasized) that rides are
always available to members for profit shares––officers should coordinate to have rides available for profit shares to resolve this issue. I would also
like to increase the number of members that participate in fundraising events by making each member attend at least 2 fundraising events each
semester. I would also be open to receiving fundraising suggestions from

In order to design such a building for seismological risks, preliminary research is done about the geological conditions of the city, fault locations, and earthquake history. Three earthquakes were chosen that occurred in the vicinity of the city, and their characteristics were analyzed, as were any effects resulting from those quakes, including liquefaction, landslides, or settlement. At the conclusion of this project, recommendations for the structure were provided in relation to the seismic analysis of the area. The structure must follow any codes regarding seismic design, as well as perform up to the standard set by various organizations, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Chapter 1 Introduction 1.1 Background Information Earthquakes rank as one of the most devastating natural disasters that can occur, causing damage to multiple facets of society. Earthquakes can cause major damage to vital infrastructure, cost human lives, and trigger other events that can cause even more destruction. Throughout history, earthquakes have caused millions, even billions of dollars of damage to cities and towns alike. Much of the destruction resulting from earthquakes is a product of poor design against seismic loads and forces. However as we have become more educated about what causes earthquakes and where they come from, we have been able to better fortify our structures to resist such forces, and have been able to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Speaking with Minix regarding tournament fees, I believe if each sports program can conduct fundraisers from the entire athletic department. I would love to be the point of contact for fundraisers with the athletic department. Some ideas regarding fundraisers is that we have two fundraisers per semester, one at the end of August and another at the end of October. Each sport can engage in friendly competition to see who can raise the most for the athletic program. For example, the fall semester will be football, volleyball, and cheerleaders. In the spring it will be Boys and girls basketball, boys/girls Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Problems Faced By San Francisco San Francisco is one of America's most vibrant, richly complex cities to reside in. Anyone who has ever visited or lived in San Francisco knows that available parking is a scarcity. Although well known for its great climate, amazing landmarks, unique attractions and diverse culture, the shortage of parking space is a force to reckon with. The parking demand in San Francisco is so intense that often residents and commuters are routinely frustrated with trying to seize a parking space whether for work, shopping or storing their vehicle. Furthermore, this just downplays how important a parking spot can be for a considerable amount of San Francisco 's occupants. Drivers often scan between 10–30 minutes, once in a while futile, just to locate a desired parking spot. The time connected with discovering a parking spot limits the comfort of traveling in the car and is an implicit expense of driving in San Francisco. Raising prices for residential parking permits, increasing meter rates and changing off–street parking standards are three key areas that require attention to help resolve this dilemma. Raising prices on residential parking permits San Francisco's planning department has considered raising the price of the residential parking permits. The parking permit was petitioned by 27 neighborhoods which means that the demand for these coveted permits were high. However, the demand for the permits is higher than the actual supply of spaces available. Before the city can Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. San Francisco State University Scholarship Essay Currently, my goals are to obtain a Ph.D. in mathematics and work as a professor who conducts research and teaches at the university level. To me, research is very important since it pushes the current knowledge we possess forward and the feeling of understanding the unknown gives me immense pleasure. I highly value teaching as well since passing down knowledge is vital in mathematics and in general. During my time working as a tutor at the Mathematics Learning Center at Queensborough Community College, my favorite part of the job was seeing students having aha moments. It is very gratifying to help someone understand a concept. During my undergraduate experience, I benefitted from having many great professors who encouraged me to pursue math. I would one day like to mentor students so that I can give back and hopefully organize a research experience for undergraduates (REU) program so that students are able to experience the joy of research....show more content... If I am awarded the scholarship, then it would help me in covering tuition and books. In addition, it would make my transition from New York to San Francisco smoother. I believe SFSU can help me achieve both personal and professional goals. I have already had very positive experiences interacting with SFSU faculty and students. At the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute–Undergraduate Program, one of my mentors, Dr. Federico Ardila, was very supportive and provided me with much confidence during times when I did not believe in myself. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Matthais Beck and Dr. Dusty Ross, both of whom were very patient with me in explaining the fields they work in. Knowing that there are more people like them in the SFSU community makes me believe that I can truly benefit from attending there. Doing so would also bring me a step closer to my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

International Marketing Case 1.After reading the "Direct Mail" article posted in our course, discuss three things you learned related to online giving trends of donors from different generations. The younger the donor the more likely the donor will respond to a direct mail appeal online. It makes sense that Millennial's and other younger generations are more likely to reply on the Internet based on their interest in technology. The Boomer generation, who are most likely to donate, also prefer donating online. 1 out of 4 individuals in this age range will reply to a direct mail appeal through the mail over the Internet. 3 out of 4 individuals over 65 will reply to a direct mail appeal through the mail. According to your textbook, what should be another important reason to host an event and how could it support the three key aspects of fundraising discussed by the author? Another reason events are used to serve as fundraisers are because events are a tool used to help donors build meaningful relationships with the nonprofit's cause. Events help to cultivate potential donors interests in the organization, solicit the gift, and show the donor how the organization will properly use the gift. These three steps–cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship–are supported and utilized by special events as a fundraising tool. Often times a special event focuses on one particular aspect of fundraising at a time, however, one can see how all three aspects are necessary in every form of special Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There has been a noticeable spike in interest in our organization over the past week when compared to last week. After presenting and getting in contact with several sororities and other student organizations, our names list almost quadrupled in size. The sororities and organizations seem to be very receptive to our mission here and they have been supportive overall. It seems that every day we have someone come to the tent with another referral to give us. Overall, the expansion has been going along smoothly. • 13. Research Paper On San Francisco I think San Francisco is the continual central hub of important, groundbreaking movements in history like the Gold Rush, Barbary Coast, Beat Generation, Summer of Love, the ascendance of the gay community, and the rise and fall of Harvey Milk, and further current movements from the 20th and 21st centuries. This is mostly because of how San Francisco really is like a melting pot of all different cultures and ideas in our society. It can definitely be stated that San Francisco is one of the most diverse cities in the world. I think that people come to San Francisco because it has always been seen as a point of innovation and starting important movements. Before I had taken this class I would have had already referred to San Francisco as the gay capital of the nation because it was one of the earliest cities to legalize same–sex marriage via former mayor Gavin Newsom in 2004....show more content... It's actually interesting that I am taking another class on the history of rock music so we also talked about psychedelic and acid rock. A lot of people have immigrated to San Francisco because they have viewed it as a land of opportunity as is evidenced by everyone who came to San Francisco during the Gold Rush era. This is especially true for the Chinese people who came to San Francisco for the gold and also worked on the Transcontinental Railroad. San Francisco also has quite a character as is evidenced by the Barbary Coast, Beat Generation, and Summer of Love which created a unique personality for the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

If you're spending 2 or 4 years there, who you're going to be around and where might be just as important as the education you're receiving. Lucky for you, all the information you'll want about the University of San Francisco is conveniently compiled below. USF has a lot to offer, and today you can read about its location and history, academics, diversity, awards, and facts and statistics. Find out if USF is the right school for you. San Francisco has long been a cultural influence for the country, and USF is no exception. It was established as a St. Ignatius Academy in 1855, and became fully coed in 1964 ("USF: Our History"). Their incoming Freshman class of Fall 2016 was 73.8% students of color and 61.7% female students ("USF: Facts and Statistics"), and extracurriculars and clubs include the University of San Francisco BSU ("University of San Francisco"). Also, despite being a Jesuit Catholic school, students only have a theology requirement, and no obligation to practice Catholicism ("About USF: Who We Are: Jesuit Catholic"). While attending USF, students and teachers are free to practice whichever religion they want. The school focuses less on the religion, and more on their Jesuit values, as reflected in their community service and world–outreach programs. Additionally, USF has received numerous commendations from several sources, for both the school's programs, and thecollege as a whole. One example is the "Healthiest Workplace Award" which USF has received four years in a row (American Heart Association). USF was also ranked #4 in "College City Gets High Marks" (The Princeton Review). The university has been listed as a Tier One National University (US News and World Report) as well. These are just some of many awards the school has received. As crucial as information about college life and education, is information on how to get in. • 17. Community Reflection In 2014, while living in Bermuda, I attended a youth conference with my two sisters in Baltimore, Maryland. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and when we arrived back in Bermuda it was all we were able to talk about for weeks. So much so that our aunt thought it would be a great idea to host a youth conference on the island. When she got the approval for the conference to take place in 2015 she told me that she would need my help in organizing it and I obliged since I love to plan big events. Before long I found myself doing everything without her input, because she never had time. Planning this conference consumed me, and I was not enjoying it. Everyone who was supposed to be on board to help, continuously flaked. To make matters worse, the aunt who I was supposed to be partnering with, continuously changed the entire course of the conference whenever we actually found time to have a meeting, which meant I was constantly back at the drawing board to fit in her ideas. While planning this conference, I was in school full–time online at Penn State, working as an after–school teacher, and active in many community service projects. I was determined to get everything done and succeed because I hated the idea of failure. The stress and pressure built up to the point where I stopped sleeping and barely ate. I was just constantly working and trying to find enough hours in the day to get all my school work done, make sure the conference was a success and not drop the ball on any of my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. The University Of San Francisco Essay Coming from a conservative town in Southern California, I was drawn to the city of San Francisco due to its diversity of cultures. My goal is to be a lawyer, and to achieve that, I believe it is critical for lawyers to acquire knowledge from various perspectives as a means of becoming a well–rounded, active citizen in society. The University of San Francisco became my dream school early on in high school. Not only did the city have everything I was looking for, but the school itself has social justice embedded in its curriculum, which sealed the deal. My first year at USF, I found myself focused mainly on accustoming to my new environment and the college course work. So as class registration came closer last spring, I made finding a class or club that focuses on social justice a very important matter. I did research on various opportunities USF had to offer and ultimately, focused on the living learning communities. I thought the idea of living with classmates was fascinating; you have the ability to make a community outside the classroom with people who share similar values. Erasmus, expanding its teaching of social justice to the Cambodian society, was the niche I had been searching for since I received my college acceptance letter. A class on an abstract topic such as social justice is very intriguing. I believe that social justice should be discussed more, and in a classroom environment, you are not just given the opportunity to discuss different perspectives regarding Get more content on HelpWriting.net

However, I would also expand the concession fundraiser to not only football but to baseball and softball games as well. There should also be a semester or year long raffle prize where members buy a raffle ticket and a winner is chosen at random and given giftcards, MAPS merchandise, MCAT study materials, etc. We could also host an event (such as a suture clinic, pre–med "symposium" featuring previous MAPS speakers and/or relevant med speakers, etc.) where members (or people interested in the event) would have to pay to enter. I also think that transportation to the profit shares is a big obstacle to MAPS being able to reach its full potential regarding fundraisers. I think that it should be noted at the beginning of the semester (and heavily emphasized) that rides are always available to members for profit shares––officers should coordinate to have rides available for profit shares to resolve this issue. I would also like to increase the number of members that participate in fundraising events by making each member attend at least 2 fundraising events each semester. I would also be open to receiving fundraising suggestions from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
