2. Biography
• Colin Jordan
• More than 20 years of commercial software development for the oil and gas industry
focusing on reservoir characterization, production optimization, and flow assurance.
With petroleum engineering expertise in Canada, United States, Europe, Asia, and
Australia, Colin’s experience ranges from pressure and rate transient analysis to full
field development plans (including economics) for conventional and unconventional
projects.
3. Objective
• My objective is to fully integrated cloud based SCADA and data analysis
(reservoir to production analysis) hardware and software suite.
• Develop a solution with technology to breakdown barriers between operations,
engineering, and business development.
• Customizable analyses and reporting tied to a single data source (such as
SCADA, API’s, Online Data,) ensuring rapid delivery of information and results.
• Perform development in a highly visual and modern development environment
with interfaces designed with the latest technology.

5. Potential application to control and analyze
controllers, valves and much more
Perhaps model PVT, fluid behavior,
and/or identify drift, dead space,
hysteresis effects and potential
failure
6. Flow assurance applications
We have/are developing a number
of PVT apps including:
Oil,
Gas,
Water,
Hydrates,
and even Glycol models
7. Reservoir engineering applications
I have begun development
of a number of reservoir
models and analytics (for
conventional and
unconventional systems incl.
CBM/CSG).

Transient AnalysisTracking of OGIP per
well or group of wells

8. I am incorporating a number of the classic reservoir engineering tools such as rate transient analysis.
Diagnostic plots such as Blasingame Plots to Flowing Material Balance, and even Shale Decline Models

9. Daccord,Volumetric & Schetcher
Acid Injection Models
Production engineering applications
Wormhole & Skin Relationships
Adaptation of Furui Completion Skin Models
10. Real-Time Web Connectivity
I am are integrating advanced
modeling and forecasting algorithms
which can be applied to general data
such as financials or even oil and gas
prices.
In this example, Real-Time oil and gas prices are
obtained from the EIA and processed using an 1
to 3 order interpolation procedure, and
forecasted using a stochastic process model
11. On-going and in-development
• Perforation Models
• Wellbore skin,
• Formation damage
• Wellbore Modelling & Fluid Mechanics
• Liquid loading
• Wellbore and pipe losses
• Rate Forecasting
• Single and multi well
• Vertical, horizontal, and complex wells
• Conventional & Unconventional
I have validated science and
theory and are currently
developing the interface for
quick and ease of use.
12. Other Developments
I have moving into processes and instrumentation modelling, with the goal of physics based
cyber and virtual sytems, as well as SCADA
13. Development Environment
• Most code originally developed in Visual Basic, and/or
Java
• Currently being converted to a visual programming
language with high mathematical and modelling
capability
• Highly adaptable for cloud deployment, as well as
mobile devices.
