2015 Camp Goals
The purpose of the 2015 summer camp is to
provide athletes with the necessary tools to
improve knowledge and performance in track &
field and cross country. This includes an emphasis
on goal-setting, work
ethic, and self-discipline. It is our aim to guide
athletes to personal development in both technical
aspects of the sport and also in determination,
drive, and self-motivation

The camp coaching staff has a combined total of
over one hundred years of coaching experience,
along with several collegiate All- American
Athletes. Campers will have access to WU’s new
8 lane $1.5 million state of the art outdoor track &
field.

Housing and Meals— Full time campers will stay
in WU’s residence halls and will eat meals in the
on- campus dining facility. Bring a fan, pillow,
shower supplies, and bed sheets/blankets.
Arrival/Departure— Campers may check-in at the
DPC on Sunday, July 12th
from 12-2 pm. Come
prepared for an afternoon workout session. On
July 15th
, parents may come to attend the final
session at 2 pm.
What to Bring— Training shoes, spikes, water/
sports drink bottle; pole vaulters bring your own
poles; throwers bring your own implements.
*You will also need to bring Proof of current
physical and insurance card.*
Cost— A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due by
June 1st with your registration to hold your spot,
and another $300 is due at check-in. This will cover
meals, housing, and instruction.
*We will offer a group rate for 4 or more campers
from the same school for $250 each
due at check-in.*
Commuters — Commuters who choose not to stay
in the dorms pay a $50 deposit & $200 at check-in.
Sessions— Sessions will include instruction on
event specific technique/strategy (peaking, blocks,
hurdles, field events, sprint technique, baton
exchanges etc.), nutrition, goal setting, weight
training/plyometrics, off-season
conditioning and motivation. Video analysis will
also be incorporated.
