Where is Argentina?
Argentina is the 2nd largest country in South
America.
It is bounded by Bolivia and Paraguay on the
north. Brasil, Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean
on the east and by the Atlantic Ocean and Chile
on the west and south.
3. THE HISTORY OF ARGENTINA’S
FLAG
The blue bands may represent the sky, the waters of Argentina’s
Rio de la Plata or the blue used by the Spanish royal house of
Bourbon.
Some say the white band represents silver, thinking that the
region contained vast amounts of this precious metal.
A human face inside the sun, named el sol de mayo, after
Argentina’s May revolution which eventually lead to the nation’s
independence from Spain.

Population: Argentina has a low demographic density. It consists of around
36 millon people, mostly established in the urban centres. The great
majority of the population is descendant of imigrants from Europe

Religion: The official religion is the Apostolic Roman Catholic, but there is
complete religious freedom

football).

11. THE TANGO
It is originated in Buenos Aires.
The origins of Tango are obscure, there are many theories but ultimately it is
impossible to discover the facts because the records don't exist.
Tango sprang from the poor and the disadvantaged, in tenement blocks and on
street corners.
Argentinian tango groups travel all over the world and leave their spectators in
awe of their dramatic and beautifully executed routines.
