2. What the trailers must do.
Throughout the trailer they must highlight the
‘best parts’ of the film.
For example: In action films such as Guardians
of the galaxy vol.2 it shows the fighting
scenes and the most dramatic shots in the
film.
3. What the trailers must do.
It must also show the starring actors or actress’
in the films.
For instance in the trailer of ‘mother’ the first
shot shows the starring actor, Jennifer
Lawrence and this is helpful as it will attract a
certain audience to the film.
4. What the trailers must do.
The trailers conventionally show visual
images which barely show on the screen
long enough for the audience to recognise
what they are seeing.
Some shots that are chosen may stay on the
screen a little bit longer if they are using
dramatic camera angles showing the
events of characters.
5. What the trailers must do.
The characters may have conversations which
consist of one-liners
There may also be voiceovers which are used to
tell the story and give credit information.
In the past voiceovers were really dramatic and
they used to exaggerate the release date and
title of the film but now they a usually used to
express the feelings of a main character.
6. What the trailers must do.
The titles in trailers may not appear until the
end of the trailer.
Also there are credits which are usually
interspersed with the credits on the screen.
Example:
In the shape of water the
title of the film appears
at the end
7. What the trailers must do.
A trailer conventionally has a 3 part structure.
The beginning usually establishes the
characters and then as the pace of the
shots increase the trailer begins to build to
a climax until it suddenly ends.
