SUMMARY: Storage Engineer with fifteen years of experience in Storage design and
implementation . Currently working as the NetApp design engineer. Previously managed a very
large Storage Area Network (SAN) supporting AIX, VMware, Lynx and Windows servers. Current
hardware environment consists of 16 Brocade DCX switches, 9 Hitachi VSPs, 4 Hitachi G-800, 4
IBM DS8870, HNAS cluster and 20 NetApp 8060 cluster mode filers. This SAN services all critical
24x7 applications for a 13 Hospital system in Northern California.

• Four years NetApp Cluster Mode design and implementation.
• Ten years administration experience on Hitachi USP-V, VSP and IBM DS8000
series.
• Twelve years experience in design and support of Brocade SAN fabrics.

Migrated all SCSI attached hosts using IBM F-20 disk to SAN.

Replaced five FastT- 700 Arrays with Storage Tek Flex- 280 Arrays.
2005 - Upgrade Tier I disk environment Installed new Hitachi USP, Host
migrations from IBM F-20,

2007 - Remote Hot Site POC (IBM Metro Mirror)
2008- Enterprise NAS – Consolidated 30 Windows file servers onto Hitachi 2100
HNAS cluster.
2009 - EPIC production hardware refresh - Installed two IBM DS-8300
2010 - Enterprise NAS replication to Hot Site.
2011 - IBM DS-8800 install for EPIC upgrade. Hitachi USP to VSP upgrade
2013 – HNAS hardware refresh. Two node 2100 cluster to 6 node 3090.
Migrated 21 v-servers with 700TB to new cluster
2014 – NetApp adoption as NAS platform. 6210 cluster. HNAS migrations.
2015 – Data Center consolidation – regional file servers migrated to new NetApp
8060 cluster.
2016 – Desktop Virtualization – All Flash Storage NetApp 8040 cluster.
2017 – Data Warehouse migration from VSP to G-800 with new all flash and
snapshot design.
