EXPERIENCE
U.S. Navy | Machinist Mate Weapons Chief (Submarine Service) | July 1995 - July 2015
• Maintained high standards as Quality Assurance Inspector by supervising and performing up
to 15 quality maintenance scope-of-work packages per year that identified testing and
inspection hold points on vital submarine systems.
• As a gauge calibration technician with over 15 years experience, performed calibration for a
wide range of pressure transducers, pressure gauges and temperature gauges.
• Supervised an Ordnance Quality Assurance Team to ensure all safety procedures were
strictly adhered to each day while maintaining and storing up to $21 million of ordnance.
• Coordinated and maintained proper quality assurance material procurement and storage;
conducted submarine safety quality assurance and test procedure reviews; documented
technical manual field changes; conducted safety after-action reviews; and reviewed work
packages for critical paths and resources needed.
• Prepared and managed records for preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure
compliance with State, Federal and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinated with submarine shipyard engineers to troubleshoot, identify and execute the
complex repair, rebuild and testing of vital systems and equipment for 10 upkeep and

• Developed test procedures for high-pressure air, hydraulic and seawater systems in
accordance with technical manuals and system drawings. Assembled control components
and instrumentation to properly perform integrity tests of these systems in accordance with
