Our work is grounded in research and

Tim founded Mogul in 2011 and has been
designing for most of his life.
Chris has run hundreds of web, copy and

The Mogul Process
Mogul follows a simple process for all of our branding and identity
projects.
Research and Discovery - where we find out where the
organisation is in terms of perception and do a lot of truth telling
Design - where we, in collaboration with the client, develop the
identity and assets of the organisation
Make - where we, in collaboration with many partners, produce
your print, web, or other assets
Release - where your project is released to the public and
supported throughout.

Our Research & Discovery Process is
designed to help you make choices about
your branding and direction.
Research & Discovery
Whether the end goal is a a rebrand, a repositioning, copy, web,
digital or print - we always begin a project with Research and
Discovery phase.
This includes stakeholder interviews, discovery days, market
research, brand auditing, customer surveys. In short, it’s a lot of
asking specific, tailored questions and digging into the perceptions
the organisation already has surrounding it.
Then there’s a lot of telling the truth.
We produce a brand report which covers the current situation
concerning the brand, with a set of recommendations for further
action. This is customised to the needs of the organisation.

Our Identity Design process is not
revolutionary, but you might be.
Identity Design
Here we develop the desired public vision for the company.
This stage is about setting the rules of how you are going to
communicate in the future. How you want your organisation to be
seen. What it is you really want to say.
We produce brand guidelines, employee handbooks, logos,
wordmarks and all associated branded materials.
These are the core elements of a brand, and embody the message
entirely.

This part of the process is where the physical and web assets are
produced.
For web builds we have a separate process which includes
wireframing, designs and revisions, development, and user
acceptance testing. We are happy to work within your requirements
for this portion of the project.
Our print process includes sourcing the right stock, printing
techniques and the most appealing print partner. We can source
various quotes to provide a full view of the process.
For other assets such as video, animation or copywriting, we
engage in discussion throughout the process and provide regular
feedback. 12

Release
Going live is a big step. But you can take little ones too.
Mogul likes to release quickly and often. We can break projects
down into smaller deliverable chunks to suit client expectations,
and help with the acceptance of any work we’ve undertaken
throughout an organisation.
Once we release the final part of any project, we like to stay in
touch and follow up with ideas.

  • 3. Who are Mogul? Who are Mogul? Mogul are an experienced branding and identity studio from Northamptonshire. Our work is grounded in research and genuine curiosity. Tim founded Mogul in 2011 and has been designing for most of his life.   • 6. The Mogul Process Mogul follows a simple process for all of our branding and identity projects. Research and Discovery - where we find out where the organisation is in terms of perception and do a lot of truth telling Design - where we, in collaboration with the client, develop the identity and assets of the organisation Make - where we, in collaboration with many partners, produce your print, web, or other assets Release - where your project is released to the public and supported throughout. 6 Depending on the project Mogul will provide options throughout the process. We are happy to work with your preferred partners, or within the systems you prefer
  • 7. 7 knowing yourself is the first step. Our Research & Discovery Process is designed to help you make choices about your branding and direction.
  • 8. Research & Discovery Whether the end goal is a a rebrand, a repositioning, copy, web, digital or print - we always begin a project with Research and Discovery phase. This includes stakeholder interviews, discovery days, market research, brand auditing, customer surveys. In short, it’s a lot of asking specific, tailored questions and digging into the perceptions the organisation already has surrounding it. Then there’s a lot of telling the truth. We produce a brand report which covers the current situation concerning the brand, with a set of recommendations for further action. This is customised to the needs of the organisation. 8 Research & Discovery can be a project in itself, giving you the information needed to create change within your business. We are happy to carry out this phase of a project without commitment to further action.
  • 9. 9 being heard starts with having something to say. Our Identity Design process is not revolutionary, but you might be.
  • 10. Identity Design Here we develop the desired public vision for the company. This stage is about setting the rules of how you are going to communicate in the future. How you want your organisation to be seen. What it is you really want to say. We produce brand guidelines, employee handbooks, logos, wordmarks and all associated branded materials. These are the core elements of a brand, and embody the message entirely. 10 This part of the process is where the ideas explored in the Research and Discovery phase can be developed into something future- facing for your organisation.
  • 11. 11 the only thing between ideas and reality is dirty hands. We love to make things and collaborate with those who like to get stuck in. Whether it’s print, web or something out-of-the- ordinary we know how to make it happen.
  • 12. Make This part of the process is where the physical and web assets are produced. For web builds we have a separate process which includes wireframing, designs and revisions, development, and user acceptance testing. We are happy to work within your requirements for this portion of the project. Our print process includes sourcing the right stock, printing techniques and the most appealing print partner. We can source various quotes to provide a full view of the process. For other assets such as video, animation or copywriting, we engage in discussion throughout the process and provide regular feedback. 12 This is where the product appears, if appropriate to your project. This includes a lot of conversations about the product and how it will work to ensure that everyone is getting what they expected.
  • 13. 13 set it free. Once the project has been accepted by the organisation, it’s time to give it to the public and gauge reaction. But this isn’t goodbye. We like to make friends at Mogul, so we’ll always be in touch with ideas to make your business stand out and stay on track.
  • 14. Release Going live is a big step. But you can take little ones too. Mogul likes to release quickly and often. We can break projects down into smaller deliverable chunks to suit client expectations, and help with the acceptance of any work we’ve undertaken throughout an organisation. Once we release the final part of any project, we like to stay in touch and follow up with ideas. 14
