2. ABSTRACT
Assignment activity and attendance management is significant to an
organization such as educational institutions. It can manage and control
the success of an educational institution by keeping track of its faculties
such as the students to maximize their performance. iLearn offers the
process of monitoring the classroom attendance of students and
management of assignment activities.
Attendance management aims to help faculties in the classroom or
laboratories to manage and record students’ presence electronically and
directly without the need to list on paper.

3. ABSTRACT continuation…
Assignment Activity provides an environment into which students can
submit work for instructors to grade and give feedback on. This eliminates the
use of paper and is more efficient than email. It allows instructors to directly
communicate tasks to their students, collect work, set deadlines and give
feedback and grades.
Students may submit their work in a digital files such as word-processed
documents, spreadsheets, images or audio and video clips or they can type
directly in a text box form.
Instructors can leave feedback comments or upload files and marked-up
students submissions.

4. OBJECTIVES
The main objective of developing this system is to present an
automated way to keep track of students’ attendance which would replace
the manual method of marking attendance such as the use of stationery
material; and to provide space into which students can submit work for
instructors to grade and give feedback with an online-based application
system.
iLearn is a web-based Students Assignment Activity and Attendance
Management System that is designed to overcome the difficulty of having
a manual attendance and assignment activities. It is based on web server,
which can be implemented to any computer. The system enable
instructors with interactive design and automated processing of
attendance management.

5. PURPOSE
1 Maintains an efficient and accurate recording of student’s assignment activity and
attendance.

Helps identify irregularities in the academic interests of the students.
Assess student and give individual attention to the causes of absences.
Generate complete assignment activity and attendance reports and summary
of the student.
The activity assignment and attendance module in iLearn aim to assist
MIT Instructors of MMSU to manage assignment and activity attendance
effectively, and so contribute to improving student engagement and
achievement.

The application is built for automating the processing
of attendance. Every semester, faculties can perform
operations such as managing students attendance, give
activities to students and make announcements.
The system can generate
various types of attendance
reports that can be submitted
to the College coordinator.
Admin has the administrative privilege to
perform administrative settings to the system.
Admins can also generate an audit log report
providing a sequence of activities of the system.
Faculty creates and maintain academic
schedules of students streamlined with
enrollment record.
The faculty can upload academic
schedules and class list in the
system in csv format.
*Parents can check in with the school
through the Parent Portal to ensure their
students are attending their classes.

7. STUDENTS ACTIVITY & ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DIAGRAM
The Assignment Activity and Attendance Management
application supports and helps faculties/instructors to create online
assignments for students. Faculties can create assignments and
check attendance that may be applicable to more than one class. The
application also support discussion board through announcements
for faculties and students within a particular class.
The system is also designed with a framework that can be
integrated with any enrollment platform.
