1. Motivation
Students will listen to the song “Three Blind Mice”
from one of the famous Nursery Rhymes.
2. Explain on how is Counterpoint being define
through the song.
a. Class, you will be grouped into two groups and
will do the following for each given song.
For Group I
Title of Song: “halina’t Sumagwan” F, 2/4, do
For Group II
Title of Song: “My Guardian Angel: D, 4/4, so
Here are your task to do as a group.
1. You shoud identify the key, time signature,
first and last note of the song.
2. Also, clap the rhythm or say the rhythmic
syllables
3. Say the words/lyrics with rhythm.
4. Read the sol-fa syllables/pitch names of the
song with rhythm.
5. Sing the sol-fa syllables with correct
rhythm.

rhythm.
