3. What do you feel when you’re close to a fire?
4. What did you feel if you were in the heat of the sun and wearing a
jacket?
5. Will you become overheated easily?
9. -The heat is very important in our daily lives, we use it to make
things warm, cooking, heating the water, fry eggs, drying the
washed clothes and many more.
- Plant life relies on heat, among other things, to survive as well.
Heat is a result of energy, which can be beneficial as well as
dangerous.
-Prolonged exposure to extreme heat can cause dehydration,
heat exhaustion, heat cramps, heat stroke, and death.

49. CONDUCTION
HOT
Transferred to
Heat from the stove
Heat travels in three ways:
When you are boiling water using a stove or firewood,
the heat from the stove or firewood is transferred into
the pot. This method of heat transfer is called
Conduction. It is a heat transfer where a cooler object
got to have a direct contact with the source of heat.
50. On a hot day, you would notice that you will be
asked to open the windows to let out the warm air
inside your house and let in the cooler air that may
present in your area. This is an example of heat
transfer through CONVECTION.
51. Sitting by the campfire makes you feel
warm during a very cold night. The
radiation coming from the fire spreads into
the nearby surrounding giving off heat and
light.
Another method of heat transfer is Radiation.
In this method, heat is transmitted across
empty space or vacuum.
