2. Font
To attract my target audience I used a range of
interesting country-pop fonts. I used simple but
stylish fonts, typical of pop magazines and I used
curled, bold fonts typical of country magazines,
this clearly represent the two joined genres.
3. Feature Stories
As my target audience is 16-25 year old I included feature
stories about current country-pop artists. I included some
that would attract the younger audience such as 'is this a
new romance?', the gossip would attract 16-19 year old
and I included some that would attract the older
audience 20-25 such as 'we need a break' the more
serious gossip would attract an older audience.
4. Masthead
The masthead is bold and stands out, it clearly
represents a merged genre because of the
different fonts. The simple, stylish font used for
‘Now’ represents the pop elements of the genre
and the curled, boldness of the ‘Country’
represents country elements of the genre.
5. Background and Artist
The hay background combined with the artists
young, casual outfit also attract the target
audience as the artist seems more down to earth
and relatable. Her outfit again highlights the two
combined genres as the young flowing top
combined with the country boots and the hay
background makes it clear that the magazine is
aimed at country pop music fans.
