- #7 This weekend Polycom is announcing its Polycom Conference Room Solutions, which are comprised of three new cart and display offerings and include the high end displays and carts found in the current Executive Collection. The cart and displays can be matched with any of Polycom’s VSX products, giving customers flexibility and versatility. The first cart is the Video Cart, which is targeted to customers who have simple cart needs, a conservative budget and do not require more than one display. The video cart can be sold by itself or with a 32” TV. The next new cart is the Media Cart, which is also portable, but includes a movable shelf and lockable doors for security. The Media Cart can be sold separately or with single or dual 32” LCD displays. The Media Cart is perfect for medium sized rooms where higher end (LCD) displays are needed and room peripherals need to be secured. The final new cart is a revision of the Polycom Media Center. It includes the same stylish look, but has a different top that can accommodate either single/dual 32” LCDs or single/dual 42” Plasmas. The Media Center can be sold with or without the built-in speakers, depending on the needs of the room and whether the system chosen has built-in speakers. The Media Center is perfect for medium to large meeting rooms, where large displays and a high quality sound system are requirements. The Executive collection is still Polycom’s highest end solution for the conference room, and is available in either a floor model or a wall-mounted model with 50 or 61” plasmas.
