Scrum Master and Quality Assurance (QA) Test Lead – McKesson Corp., Westminster, CO. 2010 –2014
McKesson Provider Technologies has healthcare software applications for patient hospital-care, collectively
known as Horizon Clinicals (an Electronic Health Record or EHR).
Assigned to progressively larger and higher-profile teams:
• Started with Horizon Care Record (HCR), a data archival product which made $2M/year in profit.
• Progressed to Carelink, an HL7 messaging system that links multiple McKesson EHR products as well
as external laboratory, radiology, and admission systems.
• Culminated in the Meaningful Use (MU) project, which enabled customers to obtain hundreds of
millions of dollars in ARRA2 stimulus rebates from the government.

Responsibilities and accomplishments included:
• Utilized Unix, SQL, and Oracle database knowledge and testing skills to mentor and lead onshore and
offshore Quality Assurance (QA) team members.
• Provided significant troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to eliminate bottlenecks and
impediments such as daily environment issues, thereby keeping the QA efforts on target.
• Under extremely tight deadlines, achieved significant stability in the deliverables and issue resolution
while minimizing product escapes.
• Coordinated within and across business units so the MU team could attain ARRA2 certification.
• Built team cohesion and ensured transparency through open and continuous internal and external

• Facilitated Scrum rituals such as daily standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and writing and

Intelligent Coding, which is a Facility Billing and Coding application that utilized IIS.
