Shape Task
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
Despite that the image looks pretty basic I still like the way it has
turned out as you can still clearly make out what the image looks
like.
What would you improve if you did it again?
Even though the image was not supposed to have very much
detail, I still think more could be added to this image such as a
body and more facial features.
Rotoscope
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I think the shading on this image is what I like the most as it
gives the image more detail than just having the image all in one
shade, with shading it gives the image more depth to it.
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would improve the glasses as the shading on the left lens and
left eyebrow is a bit off compared to the rest of the left side of
the face and this is really noticeable once you get a good look at
the image.
Narrative Environment
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like the use of colours in this image as I think that the shades of
brown and blues really work well together. I also like that in the
background the colours are slightly faded, giving a sense of
distance to the image. The shadows also add more life to the
image as with out them the image would be pretty bland. I think
that the creation of this rotoscope was fairly successful even
with the flaws that are present.
What would you improve if you did it again?
In the image there are some gaps in between the lights and walls of the
pyramids, to prevent this from happening again I will take more care in
creating the image to ensure that no gaps are present when it is complete. I
would also redo the ship that is in the sky as currently it looks like an out of
place yellow cloud.
Text Based
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I liked that there was a wide array of option that could be picked
for each of the fonts used there was also many effects you can
pick.
What would you improve if you did it again?
Write more text to show off the numerous effects you can add.
Pick better fonts as Papyrus and comic sans are the most disliked
fonts available.
Comic Book
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
As stated above this image also had a wide range of effects that
you can select on the image, as the caption above the image
implies I picked the effect that was the closest looking to
something you would find in a comic book.
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would make sure that some parts of the image remain in and
are not blended into one block colour, this occurred as there
was many similar colours that were close together.
Photo Story
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
What would you improve if you did it again?
Illustration
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like the 3D drawings that I drew as I think that I can draw more
better in 3D than 2D. Most of the 3D drawings I drew are very
blocky, I personally like the way they look, and you can see that I
can’t draw non blocky 3D objects.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If is were to redo this I would add shadows to my 3D drawings to
give them more depth.

There will be 3 pages all in size A4
Story Overview
The story will start with Red Riding Hood on board a space station who is then given a delivery job, to deliver a
food package to her gran. Red is flying through space in her ship and the only way to get to her Grandma’s
house is to fly through a nebula.
While Flying through the nebula Red encounters a space wolf, the wolf hails Red and asks what she is doing
after finding out about the delivery the wolf gives red a ‘shortcut’ to her grans. The wolf arrives at the
Grandma’s house before Red, he then ties up the gran and puts her in the closet and puts on her clothes and
gets in to the bed. Red arrives and enters the house, she is not aware that the wolf is dressed as her gran. The
wolf gets red and also puts her into the closet. The wolf then get the package that Red was delivering to her
gran, then a space marine jumps through the wall and saves everyone.

Advantages: No loss in quality
Disadvantages: Old Browsers do not support PNG file formats.
Deadline
Audience
The target audience I had in mind for my book are children aged between 4-8 years
old. I picked this target audience as I think that for the younger people they will be
happy with the wide array of colours that will be present and I think that the young
readers will easily be able to follow the plot of the story as it is not complex.
Production Methods
I am using Photoshop to create the pages of my story, the reason I am using
Photoshop to make my story is because I know how to use the tools to create
characters and the various backgrounds.
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
You have clearly understood the task at hand. As a
result of this it's clear that you can effectively write
a story that will be easy to effectively convey the
plot and message behind your story to your target
market.
One of the main areas that you need to expand
onto your proposal is the audience, this is due to
the fact that you have not explained why you have
chosen this target market and the benefits that
come with it.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
You have clearly put some thought into your idea
generation as you have expanded onto your
original genre options.
You could improve on different genres or just
expand on top of them worth the theme of these
genres and what benefits come with having them
as your chosen topic.
Feedback Summary
Sum up your feedback.
The feedback that i did receive was mostly positive, the positives cover some of my
ideas in the idea generation and saying that the idea i chose to use was expanded on.
There is some feedback saying that I should expand a few of my ideas that I had put
down other than that there is no other negative feedback.
Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why?
Before I explained why I gave a reason for the audience I picked, there was some
feedback explain why I picked that target audience. I agreed and gave an explanation.
Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why?
I do not disagree with any of the feedback given.

Original Script
Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by everyone who looked at her, but
most of all by her grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have given to the child.
Once she gave her a little riding hood of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never
wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red Riding Hood.'
One day her mother said to her: 'Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a
bottle of wine; take them to your grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they will do her good. Set
out before it gets hot, and when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and do not run off the
path, or you may fall and break the bottle, and then your grandmother will get nothing; and when
you go into her room, don't forget to say, "Good morning", and don't peep into every corner
before you do it.'
'I will take great care,' said Little Red Riding Hood to her mother, and gave her hand on it.
The grandmother lived out in the wood, half a league from the village, and just as Little Red
Riding Hood entered the wood, a wolf met her. Red Riding Hood did not know what a wicked
creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him.
'Good day, Little Red Riding Hood,' said he.
'Thank you kindly, wolf.'
'Whither away so early, Little Red Riding Hood?'
'To my grandmother's.'
'What have you got in your apron?'
'Cake and wine; yesterday was baking-day, so poor sick grandmother is to have something
good, to make her stronger.'
'Where does your grandmother live, Little Red Riding Hood?'
'A good quarter of a league farther on in the wood; her house stands under the three large
oak-trees, the nut-trees are just below; you surely must know it,' replied Little Red Riding Hood.
Original Script
< 2 >
The wolf thought to himself: 'What a tender young creature! what a nice plump mouthful - she
will be better to eat than the old woman. I must act craftily, so as to catch both.'
So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red Riding Hood, and then he said: 'See, Little
Red Riding Hood, how pretty the flowers are about here - why do you not look round? I believe,
too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you
were going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is merry.'
Little Red Riding Hood raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and
there through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought: 'Suppose I take
grandmother a fresh nosegay; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still
get there in good time.'
So she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers. And whenever she had picked one,
she fancied that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and
deeper into the wood.
Meanwhile the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked at the door.
'Who is there?'
'Little Red Riding Hood,' replied the wolf. 'She is bringing cake and wine; open the door.'
'Lift the latch,' called out the grandmother, 'I am too weak, and cannot get up.'
The wolf lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word he went straight to
the grandmother's bed, and devoured her. Then he put on her clothes, dressed himself in her cap,
laid himself in bed and drew the curtains.
Little Red Riding Hood, however, had been running about picking flowers, and when she had
gathered so many that she could carry no more, she remembered her grandmother, and set out
on the way to her.
Original Script
< 3 >
She was surprised to find the cottage-door standing open, and when she went into the room, she had such a
strange feeling that she said to herself: 'Oh dear! how uneasy I feel today, and at other times I like being with
grandmother so much.' She called out: 'Good morning,' but received no answer; so she went to the bed and
drew back the curtains. There lay her grandmother with her cap pulled far over her face, and looking very
strange.
'Oh! grandmother,' she said, 'what big ears you have!'
'All the better to hear you with, my child,' was the reply.
'But, grandmother, what big eyes you have!' she said.
'All the better to see you with, my dear.'
'But, grandmother, what large hands you have!'
'All the better to hug you with.'
'Oh! but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have!'
'All the better to eat you with!'
And scarcely had the wolf said this, than with one bound he was out of bed and swallowed up Red Riding
Hood.
When the wolf had appeased his appetite, he lay down again in the bed, fell asleep and began to snore
very loud.
The huntsman was just passing the house, and thought to himself: 'How the old woman is snoring! I must
just see if she wants anything.' So he went into the room, and when he came to the bed, he saw that the wolf
was lying in it.
'Do I find you here, you old sinner!' said he. 'I have long sought you!' But just as he was going to fire at him,
it occurred to him that the wolf might have devoured the grandmother, and that she might still be saved, so
he did not fire, but took a pair of scissors, and began to cut open the stomach of the sleeping wolf.
Original Script
< 4 >
When he had made two snips, he saw the little red riding hood shining, and then he made two snips more,
and the little girl sprang out, crying: 'Ah, how frightened I have been! How dark it was inside the wolf.'
After that the aged grandmother came out alive also, but scarcely able to breathe. Red Riding Hood, however,
quickly fetched great stones with which they filled the wolf's belly, and when he awoke, he wanted to run away,
but the stones were so heavy that he collapsed at once, and fell dead.
Then all three were delighted. The huntsman drew off the wolf's skin and went home with it; the
grandmother ate the cake and drank the wine which Red Riding Hood had brought, and revived. But Red Riding
Hood thought to herself: 'As long as I live, I will never leave the path by myself to run into the wood, when my
mother has forbidden me to do so.'
It is also related that once, when Red Riding Hood was again taking cakes to the old grandmother, another wolf
spoke to her, and tried to entice her from the path. Red Riding Hood, however, was on her guard, and went
straight forward on her way, and told her grandmother that she had met the wolf, and that he had said 'good
morning' to her, but with such a wicked look in his eyes, that if they had not been on the public road she was
certain he would have eaten her up.
'Well,' said the grandmother, 'we will shut the door, so that he can not come in.'
Soon afterwards the wolf knocked, and cried: 'Open the door, grandmother, I am Little Red Riding Hood, and
am bringing you some cakes.'
But they did not speak, or open the door, so the grey-beard stole twice or thrice round the house, and at last
jumped on the roof, intending to wait until Red Riding Hood went home in the evening, and then to steal after
her and devour her in the darkness. But the grandmother saw what was in his thoughts.
< 5 >
In front of the house was a great stone trough, so she said to the child: 'Take the pail, Red Riding Hood; I made
some sausages yesterday, so carry the water in which I boiled them to the trough.'
Red Riding Hood carried until the great trough was quite full. Then the smell of the sausages reached the wolf,
and he sniffed and peeped down, and at last stretched out his neck so far that he could no longer keep his
footing and began to slip, and slipped down from the roof straight into the great trough, and was drowned. But
Red Riding Hood went joyously home, and no one ever did anything to harm her again.
Final Script
Page 1:
Red was standing in the boss’ room waiting for her next delivery. There was a large
window in which her boss was looking out of.
“Your grandma’s house is where you will be making your next delivery.”
Red was exited, she had never flown through that part of space before and there will be
plenty of sights to see on the way there.
Page 2:
Red had not been through many nebulas before, so she was not fully aware of the dangers
that were in them. Slowly but surely she was making her way through she received a call
from another ship, answering she was greeted with an image of a wolf on her screen.
“It is dangerous to be out here alone but lucky for you I know of a shortcut of this place.”
Red not knowing the intentions of the wolf had taken the ‘shortcut’ the wolf suggested.
“That should give me plenty of time to reach her grandmas before she does” laughed the
wolf.
Page 3:
Not knowing that her gran was really the wolf in disguise, red approached not knowing the
danger she was in. Red had little time to react as the wolf jump out of the bed and caught
Red. The wolf Tied Red up and threw her into the closet where her gran was also being
kept. Even though her hands were tied Red was still able to press the distress button on
her suit, alerting anyone nearby that she was in trouble. A few moments passed before a
loud thundering crash could be heard and the sound of heavy footsteps.

  • 3. Evaluation What did you like about your image? Despite that the image looks pretty basic I still like the way it has turned out as you can still clearly make out what the image looks like. What would you improve if you did it again? Even though the image was not supposed to have very much detail, I still think more could be added to this image such as a body and more facial features.
  • 5. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I think the shading on this image is what I like the most as it gives the image more detail than just having the image all in one shade, with shading it gives the image more depth to it. What would you improve if you did it again? I would improve the glasses as the shading on the left lens and left eyebrow is a bit off compared to the rest of the left side of the face and this is really noticeable once you get a good look at the image.
  • 7. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like the use of colours in this image as I think that the shades of brown and blues really work well together. I also like that in the background the colours are slightly faded, giving a sense of distance to the image. The shadows also add more life to the image as with out them the image would be pretty bland. I think that the creation of this rotoscope was fairly successful even with the flaws that are present. What would you improve if you did it again? In the image there are some gaps in between the lights and walls of the pyramids, to prevent this from happening again I will take more care in creating the image to ensure that no gaps are present when it is complete. I would also redo the ship that is in the sky as currently it looks like an out of place yellow cloud.
  • 9. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I liked that there was a wide array of option that could be picked for each of the fonts used there was also many effects you can pick. What would you improve if you did it again? Write more text to show off the numerous effects you can add. Pick better fonts as Papyrus and comic sans are the most disliked fonts available.
  • 11. Evaluation What did you like about your image? As stated above this image also had a wide range of effects that you can select on the image, as the caption above the image implies I picked the effect that was the closest looking to something you would find in a comic book. What would you improve if you did it again? I would make sure that some parts of the image remain in and are not blended into one block colour, this occurred as there was many similar colours that were close together.
  • 13. Evaluation What did you like about your image? What would you improve if you did it again?
  • 15. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like the 3D drawings that I drew as I think that I can draw more better in 3D than 2D. Most of the 3D drawings I drew are very blocky, I personally like the way they look, and you can see that I can’t draw non blocky 3D objects. What would you improve if you did it again? If is were to redo this I would add shadows to my 3D drawings to give them more depth.

  • 20. Proposal Dimensions There will be 3 pages all in size A4 Story Overview The story will start with Red Riding Hood on board a space station who is then given a delivery job, to deliver a food package to her gran. Red is flying through space in her ship and the only way to get to her Grandma’s house is to fly through a nebula. While Flying through the nebula Red encounters a space wolf, the wolf hails Red and asks what she is doing after finding out about the delivery the wolf gives red a ‘shortcut’ to her grans. The wolf arrives at the Grandma’s house before Red, he then ties up the gran and puts her in the closet and puts on her clothes and gets in to the bed. Red arrives and enters the house, she is not aware that the wolf is dressed as her gran. The wolf gets red and also puts her into the closet. The wolf then get the package that Red was delivering to her gran, then a space marine jumps through the wall and saves everyone. Export Format PNG Advantages: No loss in quality Disadvantages: Old Browsers do not support PNG file formats.
  • 21. Deadline Audience The target audience I had in mind for my book are children aged between 4-8 years old. I picked this target audience as I think that for the younger people they will be happy with the wide array of colours that will be present and I think that the young readers will easily be able to follow the plot of the story as it is not complex. Production Methods I am using Photoshop to create the pages of my story, the reason I am using Photoshop to make my story is because I know how to use the tools to create characters and the various backgrounds.
  • 22. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? You have clearly understood the task at hand. As a result of this it's clear that you can effectively write a story that will be easy to effectively convey the plot and message behind your story to your target market. One of the main areas that you need to expand onto your proposal is the audience, this is due to the fact that you have not explained why you have chosen this target market and the benefits that come with it. What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? You have clearly put some thought into your idea generation as you have expanded onto your original genre options. You could improve on different genres or just expand on top of them worth the theme of these genres and what benefits come with having them as your chosen topic.
  • 23. Feedback Summary Sum up your feedback. The feedback that i did receive was mostly positive, the positives cover some of my ideas in the idea generation and saying that the idea i chose to use was expanded on. There is some feedback saying that I should expand a few of my ideas that I had put down other than that there is no other negative feedback. Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why? Before I explained why I gave a reason for the audience I picked, there was some feedback explain why I picked that target audience. I agreed and gave an explanation. Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why? I do not disagree with any of the feedback given.
  • 27. Original Script Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by everyone who looked at her, but most of all by her grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have given to the child. Once she gave her a little riding hood of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red Riding Hood.' One day her mother said to her: 'Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine; take them to your grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they will do her good. Set out before it gets hot, and when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and do not run off the path, or you may fall and break the bottle, and then your grandmother will get nothing; and when you go into her room, don't forget to say, "Good morning", and don't peep into every corner before you do it.' 'I will take great care,' said Little Red Riding Hood to her mother, and gave her hand on it. The grandmother lived out in the wood, half a league from the village, and just as Little Red Riding Hood entered the wood, a wolf met her. Red Riding Hood did not know what a wicked creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him. 'Good day, Little Red Riding Hood,' said he. 'Thank you kindly, wolf.' 'Whither away so early, Little Red Riding Hood?' 'To my grandmother's.' 'What have you got in your apron?' 'Cake and wine; yesterday was baking-day, so poor sick grandmother is to have something good, to make her stronger.' 'Where does your grandmother live, Little Red Riding Hood?' 'A good quarter of a league farther on in the wood; her house stands under the three large oak-trees, the nut-trees are just below; you surely must know it,' replied Little Red Riding Hood.
  • 28. Original Script < 2 > The wolf thought to himself: 'What a tender young creature! what a nice plump mouthful - she will be better to eat than the old woman. I must act craftily, so as to catch both.' So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red Riding Hood, and then he said: 'See, Little Red Riding Hood, how pretty the flowers are about here - why do you not look round? I believe, too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you were going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is merry.' Little Red Riding Hood raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and there through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought: 'Suppose I take grandmother a fresh nosegay; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still get there in good time.' So she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers. And whenever she had picked one, she fancied that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood. Meanwhile the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked at the door. 'Who is there?' 'Little Red Riding Hood,' replied the wolf. 'She is bringing cake and wine; open the door.' 'Lift the latch,' called out the grandmother, 'I am too weak, and cannot get up.' The wolf lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word he went straight to the grandmother's bed, and devoured her. Then he put on her clothes, dressed himself in her cap, laid himself in bed and drew the curtains. Little Red Riding Hood, however, had been running about picking flowers, and when she had gathered so many that she could carry no more, she remembered her grandmother, and set out on the way to her.
  • 29. Original Script < 3 > She was surprised to find the cottage-door standing open, and when she went into the room, she had such a strange feeling that she said to herself: 'Oh dear! how uneasy I feel today, and at other times I like being with grandmother so much.' She called out: 'Good morning,' but received no answer; so she went to the bed and drew back the curtains. There lay her grandmother with her cap pulled far over her face, and looking very strange. 'Oh! grandmother,' she said, 'what big ears you have!' 'All the better to hear you with, my child,' was the reply. 'But, grandmother, what big eyes you have!' she said. 'All the better to see you with, my dear.' 'But, grandmother, what large hands you have!' 'All the better to hug you with.' 'Oh! but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have!' 'All the better to eat you with!' And scarcely had the wolf said this, than with one bound he was out of bed and swallowed up Red Riding Hood. When the wolf had appeased his appetite, he lay down again in the bed, fell asleep and began to snore very loud. The huntsman was just passing the house, and thought to himself: 'How the old woman is snoring! I must just see if she wants anything.' So he went into the room, and when he came to the bed, he saw that the wolf was lying in it. 'Do I find you here, you old sinner!' said he. 'I have long sought you!' But just as he was going to fire at him, it occurred to him that the wolf might have devoured the grandmother, and that she might still be saved, so he did not fire, but took a pair of scissors, and began to cut open the stomach of the sleeping wolf.
  • 30. Original Script < 4 > When he had made two snips, he saw the little red riding hood shining, and then he made two snips more, and the little girl sprang out, crying: 'Ah, how frightened I have been! How dark it was inside the wolf.' After that the aged grandmother came out alive also, but scarcely able to breathe. Red Riding Hood, however, quickly fetched great stones with which they filled the wolf's belly, and when he awoke, he wanted to run away, but the stones were so heavy that he collapsed at once, and fell dead. Then all three were delighted. The huntsman drew off the wolf's skin and went home with it; the grandmother ate the cake and drank the wine which Red Riding Hood had brought, and revived. But Red Riding Hood thought to herself: 'As long as I live, I will never leave the path by myself to run into the wood, when my mother has forbidden me to do so.' It is also related that once, when Red Riding Hood was again taking cakes to the old grandmother, another wolf spoke to her, and tried to entice her from the path. Red Riding Hood, however, was on her guard, and went straight forward on her way, and told her grandmother that she had met the wolf, and that he had said 'good morning' to her, but with such a wicked look in his eyes, that if they had not been on the public road she was certain he would have eaten her up. 'Well,' said the grandmother, 'we will shut the door, so that he can not come in.' Soon afterwards the wolf knocked, and cried: 'Open the door, grandmother, I am Little Red Riding Hood, and am bringing you some cakes.' But they did not speak, or open the door, so the grey-beard stole twice or thrice round the house, and at last jumped on the roof, intending to wait until Red Riding Hood went home in the evening, and then to steal after her and devour her in the darkness. But the grandmother saw what was in his thoughts. < 5 > In front of the house was a great stone trough, so she said to the child: 'Take the pail, Red Riding Hood; I made some sausages yesterday, so carry the water in which I boiled them to the trough.' Red Riding Hood carried until the great trough was quite full. Then the smell of the sausages reached the wolf, and he sniffed and peeped down, and at last stretched out his neck so far that he could no longer keep his footing and began to slip, and slipped down from the roof straight into the great trough, and was drowned. But Red Riding Hood went joyously home, and no one ever did anything to harm her again.
  • 31. Final Script Page 1: Red was standing in the boss’ room waiting for her next delivery. There was a large window in which her boss was looking out of. “Your grandma’s house is where you will be making your next delivery.” Red was exited, she had never flown through that part of space before and there will be plenty of sights to see on the way there. Page 2: Red had not been through many nebulas before, so she was not fully aware of the dangers that were in them. Slowly but surely she was making her way through she received a call from another ship, answering she was greeted with an image of a wolf on her screen. “It is dangerous to be out here alone but lucky for you I know of a shortcut of this place.” Red not knowing the intentions of the wolf had taken the ‘shortcut’ the wolf suggested. “That should give me plenty of time to reach her grandmas before she does” laughed the wolf. Page 3: Not knowing that her gran was really the wolf in disguise, red approached not knowing the danger she was in. Red had little time to react as the wolf jump out of the bed and caught Red. The wolf Tied Red up and threw her into the closet where her gran was also being kept. Even though her hands were tied Red was still able to press the distress button on her suit, alerting anyone nearby that she was in trouble. A few moments passed before a loud thundering crash could be heard and the sound of heavy footsteps.
