Editor's Notes

  1. Think about the BEST President you Rotary Club ever had….. What made him or her so great? ( great meetings enthusiasm, flow, people involved , interesting topics, Rotary a part of the meeting) . Did it have anything to do about the number of new members? How much your Club gave to the Foundation? What Was it ?It had all to do with being a part of something bigger than yourself -- Being involved Great meetings Hearing about or participating in great projects. You were on a train going somewhere.. You were involved or made to feel a part of your Club doing something! Introduce yourself and SAA
  2. Throughout this weekend you will hear – It is all about Leadership and your role in Engaging, Inspiring, Motivating your Club members. To do that, you will get to know your Club members , meet their expectations and needs through a variety of service projects, fellowship, networking, educational and leadership opportunities -and above all having fun and sharing ‘proud to be a Rotarian.’You will meet with your Club members, serve alongside them, being involved in many ways. However, one activity probably more than any other, will define your year as President HOW WELL YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR MEMBERS How do you want your members to feel this next Rotary Year? CLICK
  3. How do you do that ? With individuals ? Club as a whole ?Would it not be incredible if you met with every member before the year starts to find out what they want from your Club? 5. Just as with any kind of planning, what is step 1? Assess where you and your Club are now and what resources are available to you.How do you do this? Talk to Clb members, past presidents, In addition to your own Club meetings, visit as many others as you can. Who else might you talk to? (delicate touch here as you want to build on and improve, not tear down your Club’s current meeting plan.)What elements might you consider or look at ? Show list after to see if we missed any.
