Project Description: Scope of the project in L’Oréal is to have a tool that would automate the
planning of the customer profit and loss and help perform TPM. The final solution will be an
integrated tool for TPM and Business Planning. The aim of this project is to implement a Core
System Template.
Responsibilities:
 Gathering the requirements by customer interaction and analyzing the requirement
 Developing the PL/SQL code to implement the system as per the requirement.
 Performance is the first criteria while developing code as the system deals with huge records
which needs to be processed quicker.
 Bulk processing, dynamic indexes, gathering statistics of tables, reducing memory usage,
avoiding loops as much as possible etc to increase the performance.
 Creating test scripts for UAT and testing before validating with user.

offers individual life insurance policies. The policies in Provida go through several processes along
their life cycle.
Enhancement of the application included:
 Addition of new coverages to the existing application.
 Addition of new services related to the new coverages.
 Support for user acceptance testing.
Optimization of the application included:
 Optimize the queries with higher cost.
 Executing the process in parallel using shell scripts.
 Removing the redundant code.
Maintenance of the application included:
 Resolution and closure of the incidences (production tickets).
 Collating identical incidences and grouping them on the basis of functionality.
 Analysis of their root cause and developing solutions for these incidences so as to reduce the
monthly incidences by 50%.
