Letter of Recommendation for Cassandra Alyse Boehme
Dear Committee:
Being an educator for nearly 25 years, it becomes obvious which students possessqualities that
position them towards success in life. From an early age, it was easy to see that Cassie Boehme
was in that category. As Cassie’s elementary music teacher, piano teacher, neighbor, and
friend, it has been a pleasure watching her grow into the lovely young woman that she is today.
Throughout school, Cassie has been an exemplary student. She is reliable, dependable,
cooperative and helpful. Cassie was a student assistant in the 70 member, community choir that
I directed. Being the oldest member, she could have been bored and impatient with the
“beginners.” This was not the case. Instead, she would come early to rehearsals and prepare
the materials for the evening. Her positive attitude was a good example to the youngsters.
Cassie also demonstrates sensitivity and compassionfor other people’s feelings. I traveled with
a group of teens and moms, including Cassie, on a Spring Break trip. Of course, with teenagers,
there is always some drama. If a situation evolved, Cassie would be the mediator and
peacemaker. She would handle situations calmly, without judgment, to a successfulresolution.
It is obvious that her cool, calm demeanor is respected by her friends and family. It was also
refreshing to see a teenager that recognized the sacrifices that her Mother made so that they
could take a Spring Break trip. Cassie was openly grateful for the opportunity.
Cassie is not a student that demands your attention by being loud or boisterous. She gets your
attention by being a well mannered young woman that leads her peers with a composed
temperament. She is honest, and respectful. Many of today’s young people are self absorbed,
unappreciative, and uninvolved with their community. Not so with Cassie. She is involved
with her church youth group, community service, sports, music, 4-H, FCCLA, and also actively
interning in various fields for future life experiences. This well rounded young lady maintains
exceptional grades indicating sound time management skills.
Cassie’s strong family life has been the foundation of her high morals, committed work ethic,
kind nature, and genuine grateful attitude. She has had to work hard for what she has earned.
Cassie, who is quite motivated to succeed, has the potential to accomplish any task that presents
itself to her. She is certainly well equipped to face the future. With her motivation and
initiative, her career goals will certainly be achieved. Cassie Boehme is quite worthy of your
consideration. She will not disappoint! I am proud to know her and look forward to her future
achievements.
