My Personal Ambition Essay
STEP 1
I.What about Me?
In the self–assessment test, I have come to realize a lot of things about me. I consider myself being a busy person and I enjoy doing something
worthwhile at all times. Being busy gives me the advantage of not getting easily bothered and it makes me use my time more effectively. I realized
as well that being a busy person did not restrict me from being people friendly. In fact, I enjoyed working in a team of energetic, active and efficient
individuals. Our ambition in life pushes us to move forward. We dream and with that dream come out a reality of where we want to be. Our ambition
allows us to unleash our potential in exceeding in our passion. An ambitious person works with LOVE and brings in more wealth....show more content...
My values in life determine what I am currently working at. Life becomes easier for me because my second priority in life is my family. I am a
family person and they are the fundamental reason why I wake every day. They are my BIG WHYS in life. Seeing them happy keeps me happy as
well but I believe that I can do more and more out of what I already have. They are my source of motivation which keeps my fuel to start and
continuously drive my way to success. When a conflict at work arises, I can easily manage the problems and accept to work it out for a better solution
since I am inspired and motivated by my family. пѓјGood for you
I see myself a matured person. I think that conflicts bring progress and although people are different in a lot of ways, I do my best to be in control
of the whole situation and find ways of looking for the right solution to keep everyone at peace including myself. Being capable of handling your own
stress is very important as not to blame anyone else for the mishaps, failures and unexpected problems in our everyday lives. I have come to understand
that focusing on the solution after identifying the underlying problem is the best way to solve the conflict or problem at hand. пЃЎTrue

My Personal Journey
At this point in my life, the last thing I expected to do was to have the courage to follow my lifelong dream of being in the healthcare profession as
an Occupational Therapist Assistant. But, a heartfelt presence remained within me when I first became introduced to this field as a young woman
working at a hospital. There was also a calling to assist individuals and contribute to their care and recovery in their daily lives that persisted
throughout my life. Being in a position of making a difference in the lives of others is an extraordinary privilege that I do not take for granted. The
dream of being part of this profession was put on hold but never forgotten, when my educational pursuits led me in another direction as an Elementary
School Teacher where helping at risk students reach their fullest potential intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially was both challenging and
rewarding. My career for the past 8 years has been that of a Certified Elementary Teacher with a specialization in Bilingual Education in Spanish and
English as a Second Language. I have been fortunate in this manner because I have taught underserved children in a lower socioeconomic school who
are at risk of failing due to their classification of being English Language Learners. And for the past three years, I have enjoyed being the
PreKindergarten Bilingual Teacher for these exceptional children and made lasting friendships with the staff and parents at this school.

Research Paper On My Hobbies
With regards to my personal life, I have been particularly blessed to have experienced a joyful and easy–going life. I was born and raised in Santa
Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a city just south of Santa Barbara. As a result, its safe to assume that I've been and will always be a
California kid. The beach was walking distance away from my home and the weather was always warm and sunny. My family also have been pivotal
in instilling a happy demeanor by always inculcating my psyche with positive attitudes coupled with kind and outgoing manners to people of all colors,
creeds, and nationalities.
Furthermore, I wouldn't that I have a wide array of hobbies, however I more so have a set of hobbies which I focus on at an extremely high level
with a large degree of proficiency. To further explain, two hobbies that I particularly enjoy are creating and playing music, as well as writing. With
regards to music, I have been playing guitar for over a year now, and I can honestly say it has had one of the most profound effects upon my life
imaginable. Music offers the only outlet that I can fathom which can allow to forget about the world around me. All the problems I am having, all the
issues of the world that can bog me down, are eliminated because once I pick up the guitar, I'm essentially one with the instrument, all the focus of my
human psyche is upon the music being played and if it's particularly good, I'll maniacally write it down to preserve it. Which is an

Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual
self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me
a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am
with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has
influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and

I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood
memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how
many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a
major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open
to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by
various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned
these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have
to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it
gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my
spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of

My Personal Language Essay
Personal Language History
Early years
I was born and raised in Mandalay. My parents came from Mandalay, Myanmar. They both are Chinese so that I could speak two languages,
Burmese and Chinese. I wasn't really good at speaking Burmese when I was young. It took years to get me used to with it but then I moved to
Yangon which is the Capital City of Myanmar. My accent was getting better since I got Yangon. All my neighbors were Burmese which helped me a
lot to improve both my speaking and listening skills.
Educational impact
When I went to primary school, I had to learn Burmese. At the same time, I had to attend Chinese School when the Burmese class is done. I had to
take Burmese for official language. I had to take Burmese for official language. As my parents and grandparents were Chinese so there was no doubt

Any kind of brands which are preparing to penetrate into the foreign market should do lots of research in order to adapt the culture as well as the

sometimes the logo because there were cases bout different kinds of company which are going to internationalize their brand and they failed to.
There are cultural differences in every country. As the differences exist between the religion and races, we should be mindful about the fact that every
single word matters and it might deliver the wrong message or implication to the customers. As the brand trying to internationalize it, there will be
several factors that should be considered for, which are including political and cultural and so on. Internationalizing a brand might not be easy as it may

Personal Statement: My Personal Philosophy
My personal philosophy is made up of a combination of questions and ideas from the three branches of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, and
ethics. Metaphysics is the study of where the world comes from, what it is made of, and if anything is eternal or changing. Epistemology focuses on
what we know, how we know it, and if there is any absolute truth. Ethics analyzes decision making and morals. One of the Atomist School's principal is
that "things come into existence when atoms come together"(Philosophy Schools). I believe that everything came into existence because of the Big
Bang, where atoms, molecules, and other particles joined together under pressure to form the universe. Based on the fact that there was always particles
and atoms,...show more content...
A example of relative right and wrong is killing people. In my opinion killing innocent people is wrong, but killing high profile criminals in not
wrong. You can apply killing people to two different scenarios and one seems right and is wrong. Another Ethics question is, how do we determine
how to behave? We determine how to behave using education from our family and school. At a young age we may see someone behave poorly, but
because we are young our brain sees this behavior as the way to behave. We act how the people around us act because their behavior influences
everyone around them. Do we have something/someone to fear or respect? One Epicureans principal is that "gods have nothing to do with the real
world, and man has nothing to fear from them"(Philosophy Schools). I agree with the statement that there is no higher power that we have to fear or
respect. I have found that there is no hard scientific evidence that a higher power exists; therefore, I do not believe in a

My Personal Values
My personal values act as a basis for distinguishing between right and wrong and thus, determine my daily actions and emotions. My mom and
education have played profound roles in the development of my core personal values: personal integrity, responsibility, and ambition. Additionally,
these influences have demonstrated that the rule–based approach determined what conduct is consistent with these key values.
Before I was the age of 6, my parents were divorced. Ever since moving back to Pennsylvania in 2004, I have been living with my mom. As a child,
my mom taught me to not be dishonest, disrespectful, or self–centered, since they all are morally incorrect in today's society. My mom's ultimate goal
is that all individuals deserve their respect regardless of it's age, race, sex, or religion. Her stern belief that "it takes all types to make the world go
'round" has influenced me to use the rights approach from Immanuel Kant and others like him, to focus on the rights of other individuals. "According to
these philosophers, what makes human beings different from mere things is that people have dignity based on their ability to choose freely what they
will do with their lives, and they have a fundamental moral right to have these choices respected. People are not objects to be manipulated; it is a
violation of human dignity to use people in ways they do not freely choose" (Thinking Ethically). Understanding that I am a current undergraduate
student at Kutztown University must

My personal experiences are greater or even less some others, starting with my trip to New York Cityback in 2013 on February 14th. Which was my
Valentine's Day trip actually my first trip every out of the state. I enjoyed the cold weather even the heavy snow. My first instinct were to make

My Personal Theory Of Counseling
My Personal Theory of Counseling I believe counseling is a collaborative partnership between client and counselor. Furthermore, this collaborative
partnership is built from trust and acceptance of both client and counselor. I hope in conjunction with clients to understand the issues and concerns so
to help them tap into their wisdom, creativity, and strengths to meet their current challenges. I believe in a comprehensive perspective through which
clients can better comprehend themselves in the framework that our thinking about events can lead to emotional and behavioral upset. Moreover,
counselors are to provide a safe environment for clients to explore their challenges and identify ways to move differently in overcoming these
challenges. Through my work in counseling, I will aspire to be respectful of and sensitive to my client's developmental needs and therapeutic goals. It
is imperative for counselors to recognize that the counseling process can be intimidating for many clients. I will draw from a variety of...show more

What Does It Mean To You Essay
Everyone says things come and go so don't stress so much about what you can't control. (Ha that kind of rhymed)
Anyways ... people never tell you what you'll experience when "it" does arrive and when "it" eventually leaves. What I refer to as "it" is anything you
want to substitute it for. For me "it" refers to people.
If you will, join me and i'll take you on a tour of my own personal journey, enjoy :)
I understand what it feels like to have the world against you. Especially to the point where you feel so trapped and you feel like you're just not good
enough. I'm pretty sure you've all heard people say "I can be standing in a room full of people screaming at the top of my lungs and yet nobody seems
to hear me"
Sadly, that's how I felt. I'm a happy person, I genuinely love being positive. However, for some odd reason I was drowning in my own sorrow.
In those moments not only was I looking for happiness .... I was looking for REAL happiness because I wanted my positive attitude back.
I want all my viewers to know it's okay to feel sad but you need to brush it off, get back up and keep pushing forward. I want you to acknowledge that
there's nothing wrong with you. Whatever loss you've encountered understand that it's not your fault and something great will come out of it. I want
you to know that you're enough!
Truthfully, everyone will experience the pain of losing someone from time to time. There's just no way to avoid it. You could say I lost a lot of people

What I Learned About Myself Essay
This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better
understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class.
I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then
once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that
I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was
writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend,
family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned
about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on
because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because
it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it

Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities
My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall into
one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that
we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is
why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular flask and

I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone
is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness" in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a
pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not
on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality.
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my
personality. However, the results from mylearning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic
and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning
style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can
be learned and strengthened.
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my
personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic,

My Personal Goals Essay
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even
fairy–tale like, we tend to see life through a rose–colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life
our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals,
we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the
many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my...show more content...
I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided attention for a certain period of time.
The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with
one's spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next
year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also
decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our
power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families.
On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I
have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had
not thought of, I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and make short and long term
goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I
want to be able to help others in the time of need. In

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that
tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing,
attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life
off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects
of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a
dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some
are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in
nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong
family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people
just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational
experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational

My Personal Journey Essays
Journeys are moments in life that define and reconstruct the myths we create about ourselves and others. All too often the ideals of a biased
community or select group are viewed as the model by which all individuals must follow. To escape the pressures of a collective standard a person
must travel outside the constraints of a community and discover his or her own true identity. On such a journey one can expect moments of planned
reflection or unexpected instances of revelation. A journey is everyminute of my existence, as I travel through life and try to ascertain my own presence

I had only been camping once or twice and even then it was with all the comforts of modern camping gear. Was I ready for this?
As my guide paddled away I looked down at my feet and surveyed the few preparations which I had brought. I had a sleeping bag; a tarp; a yard of
string; two bags of food, which were little more than fruits, nuts, and cheese; two canteens of warm water; and the clothes on my back, which I had
layered several deep. Before I would even attempt to sort through the real reasons why I had come on this trip I decided to set camp.
As I looked about me, I saw that there was not one smooth area within a hundred yards. Because I had to be within whistling distance of my guide,
in case of an emergency, I could not wander off. The first place I looked was the rocky stretch of beach. As I walked along looking for a small cave

no matter how much I wanted to assimilate myself with nature there was a limit to my experience. I just couldn't envision myself happily brushing off
sand fleas all night so I decided to look up in the patch of evergreens that sheltered the beach. After trudging through soggy moss and swampish soil I

My Personal Experience
Although we've all experienced any degree of disappointments in our lives, there are a select few that tend to stick with us. They act as assets in
our lives, tools to use help us grow. The way a person deals with disappointment speaks volume about who someone is. Personally, I am the kind of
person who likes to have constants in my life; commodities that won't change and those that I can depend on when everything else is unstable. When
I was in my second year of middle school, one of my biggest constants was my band director, Ms. Palmer. The way my school district operated, all

This shattered all confidence I had for going to high school, all hope for comfort I previously had. All of a sudden, my main constant dissolved.
The only thing that I had going for me, the safety net in my life ceased to provide comfort. From this event, I feel that I learned a great deal about
how I personally coped with disappointment and major changes in my life. After tears had been shed and the questions were answered, I had an
opportunity to develop and to mature from this. After adequate contemplation, I realized that it wasn't the best idea to depend on other people so
deeply. In my youth, I had been raised and taught how to be independent and to care for myself, making sure that I could give myself all I needed to
become successful. This loss of someone turned out to be invaluably important in my life and further reinforced my idea that the only person you
should depend on is yourself. Though this sounds grim, I am able to attribute much of my success to my personal independence. I've learned how to
set goals for myself, how to motivate myself to try and rise above negative situations and develop from them. Ms. Palmer leaving sparked my first
internal revision that has thus led to a personal reflection resulting in the mindset I possess now. Several years later, I have the ability to reflect upon
myself in a more timely and constructive manner. Looking at situations like these in a useful light, disappointments are a fantastic

My Personal Experience Through Art
Art is such a powerful mechanism in terms of expression. Personally I tend to channel my emotions into my art to allow for an honest and
thought–provoking image. Emotion and expression is the basis of art as mentioned in the above quote which I think beautifully sums up the
foundation of all artworks. Personal experience is also beneficial to the artists and I can identify with this. By personifying my personal experiences
through art I am able to express myself in a unique way as well as use it as a form of venting. This is when you can see and feel the raw emotion
through the work of the artist. That is why personal experience is so important, you can identify with the fear they could have felt through a certain
experience or event. An artist who I think has fully lived up to this is Frida Kahlo. Kahlo was a surrealist artist who expressed herself through art. She
went through tons of emotional suffering with her husband cheating on her with her sister as well as physical suffering in which she spent several
months in hospital after a fatal bus accident. Being put through so much emotional toll she channeled these emotions through art. We can therefore
identify with the suffering she experienced through her lifetime. Her images are confrontational conversely to my images that are subtler. I was
therefore inspired by her to be more upfront and provoking with my art through symbolism of suffering.
Similarly, I wanted to express my inner emotions and make myself vulnerable

My Personal Ethics Essay
According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, ethics is defined as "moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior." Therefore, in
an ideal world, ethics should play the ultimate role when making a decision. If ethics are the principles which guides one's behavior then, ideally, all
decisions should be made entirely based on ethics. Unfortunately, such is not always the case.
A few problems arise when one tries to make an ethical decision, especially as a leader. First, ethics may mean different things to different people.
For example, my religious and spiritual beliefs are the foundation for what I deem ethical. However, for someone else, ethics might be based on laws
or their own personal understanding of what is...show more content...
Recognizing that not all decisions are ethical, one's moral principles acts as a guide for their behavior and decision making. Therefore, ethics do (and
should) play a major role in decision making.
As previously mentioned, my religious and spiritual beliefs shape my personal ethics. I grew up in a very Christian family (one grandfather was a
pastor and the other is a deacon), so from a young age, I was instilled with a belief in God and His teachings, according to the Bible. As I get older,
I am learning that a spiritual journey and relationship with God is one that is personal and cannot be easily taught or given by others. Therefore, I
will admit that as I continue on my personal journey with God, my personal ethics are still being developed and shaped. Some behaviors that I
may have thought were acceptable in the past, I no longer view the same. For example, I have a lot of passion for the organizations I am involved
with, especially S.M.A.R.T, which is great as a leader. It is my passion which keeps me dedicated to the organization. However, because of this
passion, when things are not going as I want them to, it might cause me to communicate in a way that is considered disrespectful to others. Either my
tone, the loudness of my voice, or the things that I say have made others feel disrespected. Personally, I find disrespecting others to be unethical.
Although I may not consciously decide to disrespect them, it is a result of my behavior. While, at one point, I

My Identity : My Personal Identity
Identity is the personal concept an individual develops during the course of their life. Identity might include some aspects of our life of which we
have no control over. For example, our place of birth or the color of our skin. On the contrary, the choices we make in our life, how we spend our days
and what we believe in are portions of our identity we have control over. Throughout my life, I have struggled with the question, who am I? The
answer today would probably be different to the answer I would have given someone when I was in my early teens.
My personal identity has been marked by people and different situations in my life. The first person that shaped my identity was my mom. Her

The reading that spoke to me regarding on how I feel about work was from Sayers "we should no longer think of work as something that we

delightful purpose of getting on with our work." (Dorothy, S 2006, p. 195). I live by this, because my identity has allowed me to find satisfaction and
fulfillment in my work.
In addition, my mom never stopped perusing her dreams. As an adult, I have realized that my mom has supported all of my dreams, and because of
this, I get a sense of relief that my dreams and aspirations are important to her.
My mom has also shaped my identity by making me understand that I can't change who I'm. she used to tell me "we can make positive changes,
but our childhood is part of our identity" I never knew what she meant by this, but I can clearly see that what she meant by this is that the most
important part of our identity is "our family" no matter how hard things get, family will always be there for me, and although, my mom lives in

My Personal Values Essay
My personal values Values are those things that are important, meaningful and valued by an individual, a group of people, or an organization.
Whether we are aware of them or not, every individual has his or her core set of values, which consist of many different kinds of values. Each
individual's value system is different from one another because individual's values are built up through one's life experience, environment, and family
background. Values are important to us because they reflect our personal moral standards, shape our behavior, and guide us through long life journeys.
Since we live in a highly connected society, each person's value system does not only affect one's own life, but also affects many other people and the

However, we should pay attention to our manners, utilize our communication skills; and on the bottom line, we need to avoid intentionally hurting
people. When coming across people who have total different opinions from mine, I always act respectfully. For example, at school, we have to do many
team projects; most often, team members may come from total different cultural background, and thus always have different opinions about the same
thing. Being respectful to other students, I am well–mannered, using appropriate language, opening to criticisms, and conducting myself professionally.
If everyone knows how to respect to others and act respectfully to each other, we will easily to get along with each other and thus there be more
happiness and less conflict in our society, so we will make the world a better place. Second, I highly value integrity. Integrity is defined as "a concept of
consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and
truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions." It generally means not intentionally harming others, not stealing from, not cheating, or being fair to, others. I
value integrity because it manifests a person's inner strength, honor, kindness, and geniuses of one's soul. According to Kantian moral perspective
whether an action is morally good or not depends primarily in the intentions of the agent performing the

My Personal Ambition Essay

  • 1. My Personal Ambition Essay STEP 1 I.What about Me? In the self–assessment test, I have come to realize a lot of things about me. I consider myself being a busy person and I enjoy doing something worthwhile at all times. Being busy gives me the advantage of not getting easily bothered and it makes me use my time more effectively. I realized as well that being a busy person did not restrict me from being people friendly. In fact, I enjoyed working in a team of energetic, active and efficient individuals. Our ambition in life pushes us to move forward. We dream and with that dream come out a reality of where we want to be. Our ambition allows us to unleash our potential in exceeding in our passion. Life becomes easier for me because my second priority in life is my family. I am a family person and they are the fundamental reason why I wake every day. They are my BIG WHYS in life. Seeing them happy keeps me happy as well but I believe that I can do more and more out of what I already have. They are my source of motivation which keeps my fuel to start and continuously drive my way to success. When a conflict at work arises, I can easily manage the problems and accept to work it out for a better solution since I am inspired and motivated by my family. пѓјGood for you I see myself a matured person. I think that conflicts bring progress and although people are different in a lot of ways, I do my best to be in control of the whole situation and find ways of looking for the right solution to keep everyone at peace including myself. Being capable of handling your own stress is very important as not to blame anyone else for the mishaps, failures and unexpected problems in our everyday lives. I have come to understand that focusing on the solution after identifying the underlying problem is the best way to solve the conflict or problem at hand. пЃЎTrue II. Working with Others. • 2. My Personal Journey Essay My Personal Journey At this point in my life, the last thing I expected to do was to have the courage to follow my lifelong dream of being in the healthcare profession as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. But, a heartfelt presence remained within me when I first became introduced to this field as a young woman working at a hospital. There was also a calling to assist individuals and contribute to their care and recovery in their daily lives that persisted throughout my life. Being in a position of making a difference in the lives of others is an extraordinary privilege that I do not take for granted. The dream of being part of this profession was put on hold but never forgotten, when my educational pursuits led me in another direction as an Elementary School Teacher where helping at risk students reach their fullest potential intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially was both challenging and rewarding. My career for the past 8 years has been that of a Certified Elementary Teacher with a specialization in Bilingual Education in Spanish and English as a Second Language. I have been fortunate in this manner because I have taught underserved children in a lower socioeconomic school who are at risk of failing due to their classification of being English Language Learners. And for the past three years, I have enjoyed being the PreKindergarten Bilingual Teacher for these exceptional children and made lasting friendships with the staff and parents at this school. • 3. Research Paper On My Hobbies With regards to my personal life, I have been particularly blessed to have experienced a joyful and easy–going life. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a city just south of Santa Barbara. As a result, its safe to assume that I've been and will always be a California kid. The beach was walking distance away from my home and the weather was always warm and sunny. My family also have been pivotal in instilling a happy demeanor by always inculcating my psyche with positive attitudes coupled with kind and outgoing manners to people of all colors, creeds, and nationalities. Furthermore, I wouldn't that I have a wide array of hobbies, however I more so have a set of hobbies which I focus on at an extremely high level with a large degree of proficiency. To further explain, two hobbies that I particularly enjoy are creating and playing music, as well as writing. With regards to music, I have been playing guitar for over a year now, and I can honestly say it has had one of the most profound effects upon my life imaginable. Music offers the only outlet that I can fathom which can allow to forget about the world around me. All the problems I am having, all the issues of the world that can bog me down, are eliminated because once I pick up the guitar, I'm essentially one with the instrument, all the focus of my human psyche is upon the music being played and if it's particularly good, I'll maniacally write it down to preserve it. • 4. Essay About Myself There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and ...show more content... I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

They both are Chinese so that I could speak two languages, Burmese and Chinese. I wasn't really good at speaking Burmese when I was young. It took years to get me used to with it but then I moved to Yangon which is the Capital City of Myanmar. My accent was getting better since I got Yangon. All my neighbors were Burmese which helped me a lot to improve both my speaking and listening skills. Educational impact When I went to primary school, I had to learn Burmese. At the same time, I had to attend Chinese School when the Burmese class is done. I had to take Burmese for official language. I had to take Burmese for official language. • 6. Personal Statement: My Personal Philosophy My personal philosophy is made up of a combination of questions and ideas from the three branches of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. Metaphysics is the study of where the world comes from, what it is made of, and if anything is eternal or changing. Epistemology focuses on what we know, how we know it, and if there is any absolute truth. Ethics analyzes decision making and morals. One of the Atomist School's principal is that "things come into existence when atoms come together"(Philosophy Schools). I believe that everything came into existence because of the Big Bang, where atoms, molecules, and other particles joined together under pressure to form the universe. Based on the fact that there was always particles and atoms,...show more content... A example of relative right and wrong is killing people. In my opinion killing innocent people is wrong, but killing high profile criminals in not wrong. You can apply killing people to two different scenarios and one seems right and is wrong. Another Ethics question is, how do we determine how to behave? We determine how to behave using education from our family and school. At a young age we may see someone behave poorly, but because we are young our brain sees this behavior as the way to behave. We act how the people around us act because their behavior influences everyone around them. Do we have something/someone to fear or respect? One Epicureans principal is that "gods have nothing to do with the real world, and man has nothing to fear from them"(Philosophy Schools). I agree with the statement that there is no higher power that we have to fear or respect. • 7. My Personal Values My personal values act as a basis for distinguishing between right and wrong and thus, determine my daily actions and emotions. My mom and education have played profound roles in the development of my core personal values: personal integrity, responsibility, and ambition. Additionally, these influences have demonstrated that the rule–based approach determined what conduct is consistent with these key values. Before I was the age of 6, my parents were divorced. Ever since moving back to Pennsylvania in 2004, I have been living with my mom. As a child, my mom taught me to not be dishonest, disrespectful, or self–centered, since they all are morally incorrect in today's society. My mom's ultimate goal is that all individuals deserve their respect regardless of it's age, race, sex, or religion. Her stern belief that "it takes all types to make the world go 'round" has influenced me to use the rights approach from Immanuel Kant and others like him, to focus on the rights of other individuals. "According to these philosophers, what makes human beings different from mere things is that people have dignity based on their ability to choose freely what they will do with their lives, and they have a fundamental moral right to have these choices respected. People are not objects to be manipulated; it is a violation of human dignity to use people in ways they do not freely choose" (Thinking Ethically). My Personal Experiences My personal experiences have made me the person I am today. My experiences have taught me to enjoy life Also to embrace and honor every minute in this precious life.Experiences are a chance to help one another get familiar with what we know and have went through to bring us were we are now. My personal experiences are greater or even less some others, starting with my trip to New York Cityback in 2013 on February 14th. Furthermore, this collaborative partnership is built from trust and acceptance of both client and counselor. I hope in conjunction with clients to understand the issues and concerns so to help them tap into their wisdom, creativity, and strengths to meet their current challenges. I believe in a comprehensive perspective through which clients can better comprehend themselves in the framework that our thinking about events can lead to emotional and behavioral upset. Moreover, counselors are to provide a safe environment for clients to explore their challenges and identify ways to move differently in overcoming these challenges. • 10. What Does It Mean To You Essay Everyone says things come and go so don't stress so much about what you can't control. (Ha that kind of rhymed) Anyways ... people never tell you what you'll experience when "it" does arrive and when "it" eventually leaves. What I refer to as "it" is anything you want to substitute it for. For me "it" refers to people. If you will, join me and i'll take you on a tour of my own personal journey, enjoy :) I understand what it feels like to have the world against you. Especially to the point where you feel so trapped and you feel like you're just not good enough. I'm pretty sure you've all heard people say "I can be standing in a room full of people screaming at the top of my lungs and yet nobody seems to hear me" Sadly, that's how I felt. I want you to acknowledge that there's nothing wrong with you. Whatever loss you've encountered understand that it's not your fault and something great will come out of it. I want you to know that you're enough! Truthfully, everyone will experience the pain of losing someone from time to time. There's just no way to avoid it. • 11. What I Learned About Myself Essay This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class. I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend, family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it Get more content on HelpWriting.net

One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours. As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality. A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can be learned and strengthened. I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Personal Goals Essay As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy–tale like, we tend to see life through a rose–colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal. First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my...show more content... I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided attention for a certain period of time. The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with one's spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families. On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had not thought of, I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and make short and long term goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I want to be able to help others in the time of need. In Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Personal Identity Essay A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content... Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Personal Journey Essays Journeys are moments in life that define and reconstruct the myths we create about ourselves and others. All too often the ideals of a biased community or select group are viewed as the model by which all individuals must follow. To escape the pressures of a collective standard a person must travel outside the constraints of a community and discover his or her own true identity. On such a journey one can expect moments of planned reflection or unexpected instances of revelation. A journey is everyminute of my existence, as I travel through life and try to ascertain my own presence in its cycle. An essential journey occurred three years ago when I set out on a personal pilgrimage. I wanted to re–travel the time line of the past few...show more content... I had only been camping once or twice and even then it was with all the comforts of modern camping gear. Was I ready for this? As my guide paddled away I looked down at my feet and surveyed the few preparations which I had brought. I had a sleeping bag; a tarp; a yard of string; two bags of food, which were little more than fruits, nuts, and cheese; two canteens of warm water; and the clothes on my back, which I had layered several deep. Before I would even attempt to sort through the real reasons why I had come on this trip I decided to set camp. As I looked about me, I saw that there was not one smooth area within a hundred yards. Because I had to be within whistling distance of my guide, in case of an emergency, I could not wander off. The first place I looked was the rocky stretch of beach. As I walked along looking for a small cave or shelter I noticed dozens of minuscule creatures. These were not companions or friendly wild animals but small biting sand fleas. Now I knew that no matter how much I wanted to assimilate myself with nature there was a limit to my experience. I just couldn't envision myself happily brushing off sand fleas all night so I decided to look up in the patch of evergreens that sheltered the beach. After trudging through soggy moss and swampish soil I found two evergreens that stood alone on a small cliff. I strung up my tarp to try and create the most comfortable Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Personal Experience Although we've all experienced any degree of disappointments in our lives, there are a select few that tend to stick with us. They act as assets in our lives, tools to use help us grow. The way a person deals with disappointment speaks volume about who someone is. Personally, I am the kind of person who likes to have constants in my life; commodities that won't change and those that I can depend on when everything else is unstable. When I was in my second year of middle school, one of my biggest constants was my band director, Ms. Palmer. The way my school district operated, all the middle school directors would also help in the mornings at the high school band class. As a result of this, once my brother and sister left our middle school,...show more content... This shattered all confidence I had for going to high school, all hope for comfort I previously had. All of a sudden, my main constant dissolved. The only thing that I had going for me, the safety net in my life ceased to provide comfort. From this event, I feel that I learned a great deal about how I personally coped with disappointment and major changes in my life. After tears had been shed and the questions were answered, I had an opportunity to develop and to mature from this. After adequate contemplation, I realized that it wasn't the best idea to depend on other people so deeply. In my youth, I had been raised and taught how to be independent and to care for myself, making sure that I could give myself all I needed to become successful. This loss of someone turned out to be invaluably important in my life and further reinforced my idea that the only person you should depend on is yourself. Though this sounds grim, I am able to attribute much of my success to my personal independence. I've learned how to set goals for myself, how to motivate myself to try and rise above negative situations and develop from them. Ms. Palmer leaving sparked my first internal revision that has thus led to a personal reflection resulting in the mindset I possess now. Several years later, I have the ability to reflect upon myself in a more timely and constructive manner. Looking at situations like these in a useful light, disappointments are a fantastic Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Personal Experience Through Art Art is such a powerful mechanism in terms of expression. Personally I tend to channel my emotions into my art to allow for an honest and thought–provoking image. Emotion and expression is the basis of art as mentioned in the above quote which I think beautifully sums up the foundation of all artworks. Personal experience is also beneficial to the artists and I can identify with this. By personifying my personal experiences through art I am able to express myself in a unique way as well as use it as a form of venting. This is when you can see and feel the raw emotion through the work of the artist. That is why personal experience is so important, you can identify with the fear they could have felt through a certain experience or event. An artist who I think has fully lived up to this is Frida Kahlo. Kahlo was a surrealist artist who expressed herself through art. She went through tons of emotional suffering with her husband cheating on her with her sister as well as physical suffering in which she spent several months in hospital after a fatal bus accident. Being put through so much emotional toll she channeled these emotions through art. We can therefore identify with the suffering she experienced through her lifetime. Her images are confrontational conversely to my images that are subtler. I was therefore inspired by her to be more upfront and provoking with my art through symbolism of suffering. Similarly, I wanted to express my inner emotions and make myself vulnerable Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. My Personal Ethics Essay According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, ethics is defined as "moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior." Therefore, in an ideal world, ethics should play the ultimate role when making a decision. If ethics are the principles which guides one's behavior then, ideally, all decisions should be made entirely based on ethics. Unfortunately, such is not always the case. A few problems arise when one tries to make an ethical decision, especially as a leader. First, ethics may mean different things to different people. For example, my religious and spiritual beliefs are the foundation for what I deem ethical. However, for someone else, ethics might be based on laws or their own personal understanding of what is...show more content... Recognizing that not all decisions are ethical, one's moral principles acts as a guide for their behavior and decision making. Therefore, ethics do (and should) play a major role in decision making. As previously mentioned, my religious and spiritual beliefs shape my personal ethics. I grew up in a very Christian family (one grandfather was a pastor and the other is a deacon), so from a young age, I was instilled with a belief in God and His teachings, according to the Bible. As I get older, I am learning that a spiritual journey and relationship with God is one that is personal and cannot be easily taught or given by others. Therefore, I will admit that as I continue on my personal journey with God, my personal ethics are still being developed and shaped. Some behaviors that I may have thought were acceptable in the past, I no longer view the same. For example, I have a lot of passion for the organizations I am involved with, especially S.M.A.R.T, which is great as a leader. It is my passion which keeps me dedicated to the organization. However, because of this passion, when things are not going as I want them to, it might cause me to communicate in a way that is considered disrespectful to others. Either my tone, the loudness of my voice, or the things that I say have made others feel disrespected. Personally, I find disrespecting others to be unethical. Although I may not consciously decide to disrespect them, it is a result of my behavior. While, at one point, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Identity : My Personal Identity Identity is the personal concept an individual develops during the course of their life. Identity might include some aspects of our life of which we have no control over. For example, our place of birth or the color of our skin. On the contrary, the choices we make in our life, how we spend our days and what we believe in are portions of our identity we have control over. Throughout my life, I have struggled with the question, who am I? The answer today would probably be different to the answer I would have given someone when I was in my early teens. My personal identity has been marked by people and different situations in my life. The first person that shaped my identity was my mom. Her upbringing was challenging, especially because her...show more content... The reading that spoke to me regarding on how I feel about work was from Sayers "we should no longer think of work as something that we hastened to get through in order to enjoy our leisure; we should look on our leisure as the period of changed rhythm that refreshed us for the delightful purpose of getting on with our work." (Dorothy, S 2006, p. 195). I live by this, because my identity has allowed me to find satisfaction and fulfillment in my work. In addition, my mom never stopped perusing her dreams. As an adult, I have realized that my mom has supported all of my dreams, and because of this, I get a sense of relief that my dreams and aspirations are important to her. My mom has also shaped my identity by making me understand that I can't change who I'm. she used to tell me "we can make positive changes, but our childhood is part of our identity" I never knew what she meant by this, but I can clearly see that what she meant by this is that the most important part of our identity is "our family" no matter how hard things get, family will always be there for me, and although, my mom lives in Mexico, my dad lives in Chile and my brother and I live in the United States, we are always there if one of us needs help. Moving to the United States was definitely the most challenging situation that has shaped my life. Change has never been easy for me, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My Personal Values Essay My personal values Values are those things that are important, meaningful and valued by an individual, a group of people, or an organization. Whether we are aware of them or not, every individual has his or her core set of values, which consist of many different kinds of values. Each individual's value system is different from one another because individual's values are built up through one's life experience, environment, and family background. Values are important to us because they reflect our personal moral standards, shape our behavior, and guide us through long life journeys. However, we should pay attention to our manners, utilize our communication skills; and on the bottom line, we need to avoid intentionally hurting people. When coming across people who have total different opinions from mine, I always act respectfully. For example, at school, we have to do many team projects; most often, team members may come from total different cultural background, and thus always have different opinions about the same thing. Being respectful to other students, I am well–mannered, using appropriate language, opening to criticisms, and conducting myself professionally. If everyone knows how to respect to others and act respectfully to each other, we will easily to get along with each other and thus there be more happiness and less conflict in our society, so we will make the world a better place. Second, I highly value integrity. Integrity is defined as "a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions." It generally means not intentionally harming others, not stealing from, not cheating, or being fair to, others. I value integrity because it manifests a person's inner strength, honor, kindness, and geniuses of one's soul.
