This document provides information about two types of official letters used in Bangladesh government offices: the W.I. letter and the R.I. letter. The W.I. letter refers to internal letters exchanged between government officials regarding official matters. These letters are usually kept in the personal file of the concerned official. The R.I. letter refers to public notices or announcements issued by the government for the country and public. For example, a government directive stating that no processions will be allowed in Dhaka city until further notice due to law and order situation from 2nd April 2012.
