10. Actor 5: Albert McVay Costume
Albert will be wearing a black denim jacket with a fur collar. This
is a popular style of jacket that was worn in the 80’s, which is
when my chosen song was released. My video is not set in the
80’s, however some of the costumes, locations and props will
have connotations of 80’s references, such as this denim jacket
as this was a popular style worn by most teenagers and young
adults in the 80’s era. It will be worn as usual without rips or
stains to show that this is a jacket the character wears
consistently and takes care of.
A plain white t shirt will be worn underneath the denim jacket.
This is just to act as a mid layer and suggests that the character
is of a middle class background considering there is no brand on
the t shirt. The t shirt will be worn as normal without any tears or
stains.
Black jeans will be worn to match the colour of the denim jacket
as ‘double denim’ was a popular style in the 80’s. the jeans will
be worn as normal without any rips or stains.
Adidas sambas will be worn as they were a trainer style released
in the 80’s, but have recently been re-sold in shops. The shoes
will appear worn out to show that they are the only branded
clothes the character owns.
11. Actor 6: Caden
Sherrard
Costume
Caden will be wearing a Metallica t shirt to represent how he is an older character as
Metallica is a metal band with a mainly middle aged/ adult audience. The top will be
dirty and worn out to show how the adult doesn’t care about how he looks.
Caden will also be wearing black jeans as this was a popular style for all ages during
the 80’s. the jeans will be worn as usual with no tears or rips to show the character
looks after the jeans as they are an expensive item of clothing. The character will be
wearing nothing on their feet to show they are comfortable in their own home.
