Spiritist Topic Standards by Bernadete Leal
These standards are a description of what students should know and be able to
do at the end of a lesson or a teaching block (knowledge and skills).
Main Theme: Loving Myself
Loving Myself focus is on developing awareness of the importance of the body, which
houses the spirit. It is through the body that we experience life in the physical body,
improve ourselves, and help others.
CONCEPTS: The purpose of these concepts is to teach the student as a whole: head,
heart, spirit, and hand. Each concept focuses on one aspect related to the topic.
A) Spiritual: The purpose is to connect to God, bring spiritual awareness, and become
familiar with some Spiritist teachings.
B) Moral: The purpose is to inspire students to behave in a moral and compassionate
manner.
C) Functional: The purpose is to reflect on the student's behavior and connect what he
has learned with his life.

  • 1. Spiritist Topic Standards by Bernadete Leal These standards are a description of what students should know and be able to do at the end of a lesson or a teaching block (knowledge and skills). Main Theme: Loving Myself Loving Myself focus is on developing awareness of the importance of the body, which houses the spirit. It is through the body that we experience life in the physical body, improve ourselves, and help others. CONCEPTS: The purpose of these concepts is to teach the student as a whole: head, heart, spirit, and hand. Each concept focuses on one aspect related to the topic. A) Spiritual: The purpose is to connect to God, bring spiritual awareness, and become familiar with some Spiritist teachings. B) Moral: The purpose is to inspire students to behave in a moral and compassionate manner. C) Functional: The purpose is to reflect on the student's behavior and connect what he has learned with his life. Classes are designed for what Age Group? Topic 1: Who am I? Concept : Spiritual Students will be able to... Concept : Moral Students will be able to... Concept : Functional Students will be able to... S1.a. Recognize that we are children of God and part of one big family. M1.a. Give examples on how we can be an instrument of love in the present life. F1.a. Understand the meaning of the words challenges and opportunities. S1.b. Explain and give support on how we are eternal spirits living a physical experience. M1.b. Show awareness of how we are responsible for our actions. F1.b. Give examples and share own life challenges in the past or present time. S1.c. Make distinction and demonstrate how we are made of a body, perispirit, and spirit. F.1.c Be able to identify how challenges are blessings in disguise and help us to progress. F.1.d. Provide evidence that we are not alone during challenges and have the support of parents, friends, mentors, and good spirits.

F3.b.Demonstate positive ways to deal with challenges and frustration without hitting. S3.b. Express a basic understanding of what a Passé is. F3.c. Describe ways in which you can help at home. S3.c. Create an illustration showing God’s beautiful creation that we see in the world and show gratitude. L7.b. Give examples/role- play how we can see the bright side during difficult moments. S7.c.
