2. STAGES OF MUSIC VIDEO
PRODUCTION
Research – This is probably the most vital area of production. This
stage involves looking into target audiences, cast and other crew
required, location, and creating an idea that will attract an audience
in.
Production – This stage involves putting the research into use and
filming the music video that follows what the research has found.
Depending on the idea, the filming may take place in many different
locations and will include many different shots.
Post-Production – This is when the filming is finished, reviewed, and
edited together to create the idea and finalise the whole piece. Within
editing, any sound effects and transitions needed are added in to
create a strong music video.
