There are three main types of crops grown in India: kharif crops which are monsoon crops sown in June and harvested in November, relying on rain; rabi crops which are winter crops sown in November and harvested in April/May; and zaid crops which are summer crops grown between March and June requiring warm, dry weather. Examples of each type of crop are provided.
