Responsibilities andSkills:
Tendering Stage:
Review tender documents and identify the scope of works and related requirements, highlight critical
parts of the job.
Attend pre-tender meetings and site surveys, report site conditions and critical
Parameters in tenders.
Study engineering drawings for constructability.
Cross check bill of quantity (BOQ) against drawings / specifications.
Clarify specifications and related technical documents against BOQ, clarifications,
addendums / tender bulletin etc.
Read / review or prepare and understand execution schedule as applicable.
Prepare required clarification letters to client, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
Preparation of subcontract package / RFQ and issue the same to subcontractors as applicable.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines / departments for interface points and compilation of
the tender as applicable.
Organize periodic progress review meetings and coordinate with other discipline to ensure the
completion of their inputs on time.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals on time as per requirements of
tender documents.
Attend post tender clarification meetings, post tender follows up and contract negotiation.

Design, Execution& Procurement Stage:
Attend the kick off meetings with the client to understand the clients need and the approved budget
for the project.
Establish the necessary comparisons between the different mechanical systems to decide which
system is more suitable to the projects in terms of cost and quality.
Submitting a detailed concept report including mechanical system description, design criteria, list of
reference that will be used in the project.
Lead the draftsmen team to proceed in detail stage including calculation, engineering sketches, draft
works, etc, moreover, lead the coordination process with the other disciplines.
Prepare the design including equipment schedule and other details to ensure that the design is
workable and meet requirements of the client and local authorities.
Prepare the specifications for the tender purposes., reply to queries of contractors during tender
stage and prepare IFC documents for awarding contracts, etc.
Review material submittals for mechanical works to ensure its performance, brand, country of origin
and if meets the submitted specifications
HVAC Designing-- Heat Load Calculations (HAP 4.9), Chiller Selection (With Diversity Factor)
Diffuser, Grill sizing as per noise criteria
Ducting / Chilled Water Piping Designing for plan as well as schematic.
Selection of Booster Pump, Sump Pump, Circulation Pump, Chilled Water Pump Pressure Vessel
Sizing based on the parameters required for the project.

Water Heater calculation for selection based on the type of fuel either electric or gas as well as solar
including panels and their water flow including recirculation and sizing of pipes for the same.
Transformer room forced ventilation (calculation of Cooling Air Flow Rate, and Duct Area)

Procurement for site material requisition including comparison sheet and negotiation for
price with the supplier without compromising with the specs.
Checking up the availability of material in store, following up meeting with consultant.
Monitoring the site progress sheets and various site activities.
Help in preparation of shop drawing and as built drawing.
Monitoring the drawing status log, material submittal log and keeping up with time.
Giving away task to the various site engineers, foremen and supervisors with target of completion.
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials with plan.
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plan and site facilities in order to meet agreed
deadlines.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications and ensure no
wastage.
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and
the work of any subcontractors.
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may occur.
Testing and commissioning of the HVAC system including chilled water balancing and air system

Cut down unwanted valves and fittings in chilled water pipe fitting and reduced the cost of projects.
Developed many calculation sheets to reduce the time span and software’s for quantity take off for
various fittings and sizes of duct and pipes for chilled water network.
