  4. 4. Promote regional convergence in innovation indicators. Strengthen the sector's agents in R&D&I (wastewater treatment, reuse, resource recovery, etc.). Promote Procurement of Innovation (PPI) tools in the competent Regional Administrations. Improve the coordination of all the agents in the sector, through the development of an innovative management model. Common challenges of TWIST Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation (RIS3) : water sector as a vector for innovation

Main Objective Creation of new trans-national and trans-regional associations between stakeholders of the water sector with a high capability for mobilizing existing RTD projects and creation new ones, in order to meet the WFD and the Innovation Procurement (IP). Synergies between the stakeholders of the quadruple helix (GT1, GT2, GT5) Promotion of RDI in the water sector (GT2, GT3, GT4) Strengthening the connection and cooperation between the SUDOE regions (GT1, GT3, GT4, GT5) Specific Objectives
