NFPA 99C 2005 requirements are also covered, including types of facilities and requirements, medical gas source equipment, piping, testing and certification requirements for medical gas equipment. A written exam and a practical brazing exam (administered by an outside third party) conclude the training.

Certifications • 12 hours Plumbing Code continuing education credit for Washington State
• QB-484 brazing qualification
• Documentation certifying student as a state-approved medical gas installer
Required Materials • NFPA 99C 2005: Gas and Vacuum Systems book (included in cost of course)
• 6’ of 1 ½” ‘L’ copper tubing (uncleaned)
• 10 1-1/2” wrought couplings with stops
• 1lb of 5% silver solder
• Pencils, paper for notes, and a colored highlighter
