The Transition from Business Objects to JasperSoft
 Currently live with Business Objects
and JasperSoft.
 Existing custom reports remain in Business
Objects until converted
 Allows time for conversion of existing custom
reports while all new and out-of-the-box
reports are in JasperSoft.
 Condensed the upgrade timeline.

Running Business Objects and JasperSoft
 Two copies of TomCat will be required to support both
configurations.
 As reports are converted to JasperSoft the custom BO
report access is removed.
 Multiple reporting tools required during the
transition.
 Goal to complete transition by end of year to align
with end of support for Business Objects.

Value of the Analytics Database
 The data warehouse is integrated with the
system now.
 Adding fields to the data warehouse can be done
by an administrator checking a check box versus
a DBA changing the schema.
 SQL knowledge not needed to create views.
 More users are now able to obtain data without
support from the Clarity Administration Team.

JasperSoft Learning Curve
 Knowledge of JAVA is required in
addition to differences in the
SQL code.
 Complex reports are currently a
challenge – partnering with CA
towards resolution.
 Documentation is still being
completed by CA and JasperSoft.
