1. CEMENT
UPC CEMENT®is a fast setting cement
which develops within hours an extreme high
strength !! Mainly used for rapid repair and
placement of concrete in highway- and airfield
work where quick
re-instalment is essential.
Other applications are car park decks,
industrial floors, rail track replacement and
everywhere where time is key, or where tidal
influences in marine work effects construction
time.
UPC CEMENT®is used as a direct replacement
of Portland cement Concrete.
Featuring:
• ultra-rapid strength gain
• high ultimate strength, no loss of strength
in time
• chloride, chemical and sulphate resistance
• high density, low permeability
• shrinkage compensation
• high freeze thaw resistance
Composition:
UPC CEMENT®is a factory blended cement
based on Ordinary Portland Cement and
selected high quality additives. This
guarantees a binder with stable
performances. UPC CEMENT®is used as a
direct replacement of Ordinary Portland
Cement, grey in colour.
Bulk density, fineness and specific gravity of
UPC CEMENT®are similar to ordinary Portland
cement.
Working time:
At 20°C. the working time is between 25~30 min
Like any hydraulic binder higher ambient and
material temperatures shortens the setting and
hardening of concrete. Lower temperatures will
extend these.
Packaging and Storage:
UPC CEMENT®is packed in 20 kg. plastic bags
and 1,250 metric ton big-bags, palletized and
shrink wrapped, and is also available in powder
bulk trucks.
The cement should be stored in cool dry
storage on pallets, not more than two pallets
high.
Shelf live is minimum 3 months but could be in
excess of 6 months subject to temperature and
humidity.
