4. Exeter St. David's
Here we show pictures
before and after of some
canopy cleaning works we
performed at Exeter
St.Davids station. Prior to
works commencing there
was a heavy layer of black
exhausts residue which
gets emitted from the
trains on a daily basis. The
picture shows an extreme
case of this which has been
built up over a number of
years.
5. York Station
Illustration 1 show works in
progress at York Station. We initially
start by loosening the heavy layers
on the glazing using a soft brush
with hot water pumped up into the
brush head. Once loosened we use
our high pressure jet unit to steam
clean the glazing as show in picture
2.
As seen in picture 3 also steam
clean the platforms support beams.
Our machine can be used on all
aspects of the canopy due to the
machines adaptability to change
pressures and temperatures.
Because of this we can clean
nonintrusive minimising damage to
materials.

glass New glazing bars where fitted and
flashings.

replace deteariated and redundant
existing drainage.
9. Dry Ice Cleaning
Dry ice blasting also known as Dry Ice Cleaning, CO2
Blasting, was developed as a safe, clean alternative
to bead, grit, and sand blasting.
Dry Ice Blasting is an industrial cleaning process in
which particles of solid carbon dioxide are propelled
at high velocities to impact and clean a surface.
These particles are accelerated to supersonic speeds
by compressed air and delivered via a hand held or
robotized nozzle at the surface to be cleaned.
The Advantages Of Cleaning With Dry Ice Blasting
• Cleans without surface erosion and etching caused by typical abrasive blasting
methods, bead, sand or grit.
• Dry Ice Blasting can create dramatic savings in man hours and hazardous
chemicals.
• Using our Dry Ice Cleaning methods we can eliminates secondary waste streams.
Dry Ice Blasting produces no secondary waste.
• Eliminates personnel exposure to the corrosive / conductive characteristics of
manual cleaning products.
• Reduces cleaning and downtime by cleaning in-situ with or without minimal
disassembling.
• Eliminates blasting media entrapment and drying time.
• Eliminates electrical and bacterial problems associated with water cleaning.
• Reduces overall cleaning time.
• Increases productivity.
