2. Evaluation- technical skills
• Image manipulation – I used Photo shop to edit my images for my website ,
in my opinion everything went well because I had recently experimented
with Photo shop. What didn’t go so well is that I tried to push myself and
tried to figure out more functions with Photoshop but I didn’t know how to
and I also didn’t have enough time to go on youtube and watch a video
about it. Photoshop was not an easy software to work with and operate
because it requires skill but that’s the reason why there are so many guides
and tutorials on the internet. Next time to improve my finished product (by
finished product I mean the finished and edited image) I can maybe spend
less time on the planning task and more on the making of the product
because this will give me more time to explore softwares which will overall
help me provide a better finished product. This will have a great impact on
the user because the images could be more appealing to my target
audience and it will make the look of my website much better.

3. Evaluation – technical skills
• Interactive media authoring software - the product that I made is a website and that is why I used
Wix. Wix is a free software which is compatible with both IOS and Android this makes Wix a very
suitable software because it competes with many other good softwares but the difference is that
Wix is free. I used wix to make my product because its very easy to use and there are also many
people using it meaning that there are loads on tutorials on the internet. In my opinion
everything went well as I already had experience with software before and there were also loads
of sources which helped me out. , in particular my home page went really well because I found
strips that would be really appealing to my target audience. What didn’t go so well is that for my
payment buttons I didn’t know what to link it to because I couldn’t find a suitable and safe
website that I could use and I also didn’t know where the money would of went (because it
doesn't state any information about it in the brief), another thing that didn’t go well is my
wireframes because I made them before making the actual product which didn’t help because
when it came to making the actual website I found more feature which was completely different
to my wireframe causing me to keep on changing my wireframe and very time consuming. Next
time to improve my product I will ask my teacher if I can do anything with payments because I am
under 18 and its risky, I will also plan my website better so I wont have to keep on going back to
the same stage and topic. This will have a good impact on my website because my website will
look more professional and more appealing to my target audience.

4. Evaluation - processes
• Mind map – the mind map was really helpful in my opinion because it
really helped me fully understand my brief and what I was doing ,
every time I needed to look back at the information I was given I
would always look at my mind map as it has all the key information ,
this was very good because it saved me a lot of time. The mind map
went well but in particular the making went well because it didn’t
take much time to make and it saved a lot of time. What didn’t go so
well on the other hand is that I had to make some of the information
up as it wasn’t stated on the brief. Next time I will try to improve on
stating information that is written on the brief also , this is because
someone can read the information but it might not be true.

5. Evaluation – processes
• Target audience – the target audience was really helpful information that
the brief gave because I had to base my website on those exact ages. This is
because I needed to create a product that will be able to persuade people
to take part. Most of the things went well because I think I knew what I was
doing and in particular I think I did a good job on my website to attract my
target audience but what didn’t go so well is that finding information about
what my target audience liked was hard because I haven’t been in their
position and I had to base my information on vote for e.g. to find which
colour people over the age of 18 liked I had to see votes , 40% like green
and 60% like blue , this made it hard for me to decide because everyone
has different choices. Next time I will try to improve my researching skills
and explore more fonts , colours and more attractive things for my product
because this can have a very good impact on the users watching my
website as it will make them more persuaded.

• Mood board – this was a helpful topic because it really helped me
plan my website. This is because I put all the information about my
target audience such as colours , fonts and more which then made it
easier for me to decide which colour I should use more to attract my
target audience. finding images went well and finding appropriate
images for my target audience went well but what didn’t go so well is
that it was very time consuming because I had to annotate it aswell.
Next time I will try to keep it more simple and state the more
important points and information. This will have a great impact on my
moodboard because it will take less time to read and to figure out
what my moodboard’s target audience is.

7. Evaluation – processes
• Navigation map – this really helped me plan my website because I
knew exactly how many tabs I was going to have and what those tabs
were going to include. Most of the things went well because it helped
me with the structure of my website but what didn’t go so well is that
it took me a very long time making one because I couldn’t find a good
map on smartart. Next time I can try to spend less time on this topic
and use what I already have (smart art) as it will save me a lot of time
and it will have a good impact because it will be better than what I
made as it’s a computer making it.

8. Evaluation - processes
• Wireframes – wireframes helped me decide what I was going to put on
each tab (with the help of the navigation map) and the exact amount of
detail I was going to include in each tab. Things went well especially
matching my actual website I think I did a good job on that and I also think
I did a good job annotating and explaining if there were aby bits that
needed any explanation. What didn’t go well is that I had to make this
before the website so when it came to actually making the website I
changed my mind because there were a lot more features that I discovered
by watching videos online , so every time I would have to change my
wireframe. Next time to improve I will spend less time on planning and
more time on making this will have a great impact on my website and my
target audience as it will be more attractive to that exact target audience
and more appealing.

9. Evaluation - processes
• Folder structure – this really helped me stay organised with my
information that I had and all the images that I had. Many things went
well but in particular keeping my edited images and my unedited
images where they belong went really well because it saved me a lot
of time and it didn’t confuse me at all. What didn’t go so well is that
creating the folders and editing them was hard as I couldn’t right click
on any of them and sometimes it didn’t have the option where it says
“new folder”. Next time to improve I will be alerted that right click is
not available which will save a lot of my time.

10. Assets
• I got my images from wix.com itself and google (from creative
commons licence) , in my opinion the images that I chose were
completely appropriate and very appealing to my target audience. I
don’t think there was a better way but when I was getting media from
wix I didn’t know how to provide the link for the image but other than
that everything was good.
• In my opinion my images were appropriate to my target audience
because they are over 18 allowing me to be more free with my
images and choices. I have referred back to the brief by using images
and eyecatching fonts (as the brief suggests to do).

11. Evaluation – improvement
• To improve my overall product in my opinion I could of used an
uderrated city as my chosen city is probably already a frequently
visited city. This would of attracted more people because the chance
that they hadn’t been there were higher and the overall city could
have been better making my website more attractive.
• I also could of used a video with commentary for some tabs (but I
didn’t have the hardware to)
